Theo is more than satisfied w/ Bosio and is certain to be a non-negotiable part of any deal. On top of that, it's seemingly unlikely that Joe would be able to bring anyone still under contract w/ the Rays over here anyway, so that would also make it seem unlikely that the apple cart would be upset any further by significantly proliferating the coaching staff with all sorts of his guys, at least right away.

Interesting (?) that not only are the Cubs on the verge of adding Maddon, but the Ricketts outfit is close to selling a 20% non-controlling stake in the team for about $300 million, ostensibly to help offset the ongoing renovations.

David Price is a free agent next year. Tigers have some leftover sheckles after Scherzer rejected them. I wonder if he hits the open market.

Not really. They don't have to spend $300mil on Scherzerzerrrr, but they can make due enough to put a real MLB pitching rotation out there.

Nas, the honeymoon is over. The Cubs must contend in 2015. They have the players at (or ready for) MLB level, they have the manager, they have some coaches, they have their mascot...Its time. No more tank wins. No excuses for them not to compete in 2015.
