No, by making fun of the show it means clearly we care and listen to all 5 hours every day.

Its perfectly fair to wonder if the Maddon era may not be any better than the Baker or Piniella eras.

And they can think that all they want. There were at least two very talented teams (2004 and 2008), which both failed miserably. Maddon can manage in Tampa with virtually no expectations, but let's see how he is with the pressure cooker Wrigley becomes in the playoffs.

Debut of good dolphin on WYC tomorrow? That's the essence as they like to say.

Different than the essence that Panther is apparently partaking in tonight in Boys Town.

Anyone know why they shotgunned Maddux Boy today? B&B made it seem like there was some beef between him and Drinky or Tannehill.

My memory is foggy, but there was some call where he took a shot at the producers for not putting him on fast enough, or not taking his call the last time, or something like that. Basically, Maddux Boy seemed to act like since he was buddy-buddy with Bernstein that he should be treated like someone who gets on the radio whenever he wants.

I believe they've shotgunned him a few times since then right away.

They've turned on Emery and Trestman. Now Maddux Boy. Oh, the humanity!

This is likely not the exact quote, but it was something like "I tried to call yesterday, but the producer(don't remember which name he used) didn't think it was worth putting on...(shotgun)".

There may have even been a followup call that they let him go and he took another shot.

I know that a shot for not getting on is what started it. The details may be off though.

I just might do that. Do they still take e-craps or are they now only allowed through twitter?

This is one of the things I cannot wrap my mind around. You, of course, want to hire the best people for any position. At the same time, you know it doesn't mean much in terms of success. So how can there be this unfettered enthusiasm over what is essentially just a complementary hire. The Cubs are incrementally better today. That doesn't deserve big voiced guy breaking news and wall to wall discussion.

Given how much they loved the Emery and Trestman hires (not to mention the Cutler and Marshall trades), and how highly they think of Madden, it's probably a just a matter of time before they come to conclusion that he was overhyped, etc. even if they are arguing that the Cubs may not be a contender until 2016 and/or manager's don't really matter.

Yeah, Bernstein loves to read e-craps.

You'll just need to use better grammar and more polysyllabic words than you do here.
