Now, some reporters might get angry about the team leaking all the choice information to national reporters. Not our guys. The pom poms are out and any hint of skepticism is thrown out the window.

Now, I wouldn't expect anything different from WGN and certainly not Jesse Rogers. However, the station that complains when tv sports anchors where team colored ties owes us something greater.

Hub brought Bruce Levine on last night at 6pm and bruce went hard at his report that Bruce had learned that there was no deal and they were still negotiating.

Hub really wanted to talk optimistically about what it meant for the Cubs to get Maddon. Bruce would have none of it. His source was Maddon's agent himself and THERE IS NO DEAL.

So, Bruce broke that there is no deal....until, he admitted, the deal will probably be done in a few days. It's 20 minutes of my life I want back.

First, who cares? And second, the Cubs were never going to leak anything at all in regards to this due to tampering and Ricky issues. So everyone getting information is getting it from Nero. Can't expect the Cubs beat guys to have an in with every agent. More likely for a national guy like Heyman.

I hope this is a joke. Dan's reports are completely fabricated, like they always are. There was absolutely nothing of substance in his reports, and certainly nothing different than what had already been reported.

Bruce had Maddons agent on Saturday morning and essentially that interview supplied every sports media outlet in the country with the info. So Bruce gets the credit for everyone else.
