I love how the PK just tightens closer to the net so the point men have a ton of space to scoot in closer and bomb it.

Nice to see the entire Hawks 5 on 3/4 on 3 PP strategy is still to have Keith and Hossa play catch until Hossa fires it wide or into the knees of a defender.

Uh oh, you're in trouble....

Not a great game for Darling (though that's almost more on stupid Bickell and Rozsival than Darling himself). He and Raanta are now dead-even at 90/96 through three games. But with the cap crunch, tie goes to the cheap guy. Send Raanta down, LTIR Carcillo, call up Regin.

The four-goal night shot the Hawks up to 18th in the league in scoring. I'm crossing my fingers that by Christmas, we'll have passed the offensive dynamo that is the New Jersey Devils (10th).

Around the NHL, the Blues without Backes and Oshie shut out Anaheim, Minnesota won a shootout, Brandon Pirri scored for Florida in their empty-house win, and the Canucks just might be for real. Crap.
