The only reporter at today's presser to have the balls to bring up the Renteria debacle. The only question Maddon couldn't answer directly btw.

What did he ask that wasn't possibly answered in Theo's statement?

Why does any of this matter to Maddon?

Does WBBM directly employ anyone, or did they blow their entire budget on Felicia Middlebrooks and her spastic groping of the English language?

I do wonder why George isn't back at the Score. Is there bad blood between George and Mitch for the Webio thing? I thought the line about Webio was that they liked it at the Score because it meant they didn't have to fire all the people they were going to fire anyway.

I don't remember when George left the Score.

I do remember that no one was sad to see him go.

He left for the Webio. How could he go back? Not that guys don't return all the time, but his situation had to be particularly humiliating. He had been around forever and was probably making more than an update guy really has a right to and he left for the Mike North's pipedream. The Score isn't going to pay him like they once did.

I don't want to believe that Shorty George was not only bad at his job but bad at working with people. I figured the only way he stuck around all those years was by not being a prick.

He was anything but a prick. Quick name something George ever did.

There is nothing worse than to go through life and not make any type of impression, good or bad, to your fellow human beings.

That's George.

He was a foil to B&B. I thought he did a good job as a fill-in radio host when given the chance. He has an excellent radio voice, too.

I think after George left, they had Fred as B&B's regular update guy until he got fired. They seemed to get along well. Dan has probably talked shit about Fred since then, though.

Fred hates Dan.

Straight from the source. And from that same source Fred is good friends with George and there is no love lost between Dan and George as well.

Not surprising,is it? I just heard Spike & Jarrett Payton taking some subtle shots at B&B the other day.

I was suggesting he probably doesn't want to go back and face some people there. These guys made fun of him plenty before he blew that sweet gig he had.

I think it's a sizable upset if that's not the leading reason.

George jumped before he was pushed. And he knew that the push was coming.

He works now for half of what he made at the Score. And he did approach them and there was no interest.
