I must have missed the series of the roster moves the Cubs have made to make their 89 loss team better.

Chicago Cubs sent Josh Vitters outright to Iowa Cubs.
Chicago Cubs sent Chris Valaika outright to Iowa Cubs
Chicago Cubs sent Ryan Kalish outright to Iowa Cubs.
RHP James McDonald elected free agency.
Chicago Cubs claimed Joseph Ortiz off waivers from Texas Rangers.
Declined $5.5 million option on Fujikawa

They also hired their 3rd manager under Theo per your excellent sources.

Free agency doesn't start until this week but you probably knew that.

WAIT don't the White Sox already have a third baseman under contract.... and under control through 2019 Connor was paid only $512,000 last year..seems like a bargain

and isn't his replacement already in the system through the BIG trade last year with Arizona ..and Matt is under control until 2020...

So is going after The Panda a "DICK" move by the ham handed Rick Hahn/ Kenny Williams / Jerry Reinsdorf triumvirate.
Can you guys stop making this same stupid point? It's been countered like 20 times already.

OK so please explain what THE CHAIRMAN did to Terry Bevington in 1997.... how was that not "THE EXACT SAME DICK MOVE"

You see Sox history did not start in 2005...

Because I know you and most of the subdivision did not watch Sox baseball then ...here is the recap...

Bevington posted a .500 record down during his tenure after Gene Lamont was let go in June of 1995. Schueler then rewarded Bevington by giving him the job in 1996. Despite an 85-77 record, Jerry Reinsdorf wanted Jim Leyland to take over the club in 1997. Despite a "blockbuster" offer while Bevington was under contract, Jim Leyland turned Jerry down and instead went to the Marlins.

So Fan boy Tom is only copying what the BEST owner in Chicago did 17 years ago.

Not sure Ricky would like being compared to Bevington on any level. Has Julie Sweica been seen with Ricky?

Spectacularly dumb. First, Renteria did EXACTLY what was asked of him. He got Castro and Rizzo back on track and improved the team by seven games from the year before in spite of the guy who fired him dumping his best pitchers halfway through the season. Bevington is the dumbass who called for a guy from the bullpen who wasn't there.

Second, I really don't think it's a great idea to use Jerry Reinsdorf as a role model for ethical behavior.

Officially getting rid of Paulino absolutely makes an improvement to the 40man roster. Addition by subtraction.

The Sox have 97 years and counting of doing nothing to catch up the Cubs!

Unlike your previous horrible example, this would be a good example of something similar that happened.

Let's hope he's better than he showed following his return from injury.
