They have not, but I ask again, what has Cutler done to help himself?

7 points off yet another Cutler INT to make to 14-0. So then Cutler gets the ball back with a chance to answer and maybe swing some of the momentum back the Bears way and here is what happens; overthrowns Marshall down the near sideline, 1 yard bubble screen to Jeffrey, then another poor pass out of bounds and on comes the punt team. Pack then go up 21-0, Bears get 1 first down and then punt again.

Cutler had several chances to take control of the game and at least give the Bears a chance by answering some of GBs scores and he could not do it. It was the same thing in New England, Nas. Cutler couldn't do anything right. No points to even help keep the game close. He cannot be defended anymore, Nas. You are attempting to defend the indefensible.

I'll have to check and see if he's lost that many fumbles. That says a lot about the play of the offensive line.

Even if Cutler scored on the next possession it wouldn't have made a difference. The Packers didn't punt until the 4th quarter IIRC. We're asking Cutler to overcome things that Jesus may have a hard time overcoming.

He should play better then! The defense is historically bad, but if Jay Cutler had fewer than 17 turnovers this season the Bears might be better.

Nobody is doing that. Stop making things up. People are asking him to play like a franchise QB. Nobody here is saying he should have this team sitting at 8-1 and scoring 48 ppg.

I think he's checked out. He's complained publicly about the play calling and he knows he can't call the defense out.

Then he's just cashing checks. Because even when he was getting sacked every snap or besides himself with Martz or J'Marcus, I don't think he ever quit.

He's got his contract now and doesn't really care.

I think he cares but he's resigned to the fact he's been placed in a position that he has no chance to win.

Of course they aren't. Scoring 48 points wouldn't be good enough.

I believe that he had 3 or 4 on the first drive. First downs don't matter when you need a touchdown every possession.

Scoring 14, 14, and 7-- which is what Cutler has scored with the offense his last three games-- certainly is nowhere near good enough.

I wonder how much tension the crappy returns have created within the offense. If I'm Cutler, am I ripping Joe D and/or Trestman about the return guy taking out a kick 8 yards deep in the end zone? Clearly Williams has been given the green light to take it out regardless. So maybe Cutler should say if the coaching staff isn't going to help him with starting field position, then Cutler should just call his own plays and defy Trestman. Who knows, maybe that's already happening.

I agree. Ultimately scoring a few more touchdowns wouldn't have made a difference. Trestman is responsible for the predictable play calling. When we attack Cutler we are letting him off the hook. Once the league took away his deep passes by playing Cover 3 he hasn't been able to adjust.

I would be surprised if any other team has had worse starting field position after a kick off.

Trestman's biggest problem seems to be that he is relying on Cutler to make plays for him, which obviously you can't put any of the blame on Jay Cutler for.

Cutler has been bad the past 3 weeks but we've all seen the play calling. We know what's coming and so does the defense. They're standing right next to the receivers. He started this weird play calling against the Panthers.

Totally unfair to judge Cutler until we see him with his fourth HC and fifth OC.

Any word on whether Cutler will be showing up for his Am1000 show? Switched over, havent heard anything. He may have been transported to an undisclosed location.

On the pic-6 when Cutler throws an awful ball that hits Long in the helmet he strolls off and rolls his eyes as if Long shouldn't have been in the way of the pass. He half assed it after the interception and might have forced the guy out had he given a shit but he didn't.
jay gave up.

Only guy who didn't look like a quitter yesterday was Marshall and now hes hurt... Bear might just lose out.
