Wasn't Mike Martz pretty successful (prior to being Cutlerized)?

turner, martz, and trestman all had examples of success previously. so were they to blame then? coaches are only responsible sometimes? Only responsible when it comes to Cutler?

The league had figured Martz out and the Bears didn't have talent on offense.

The excuses made for Cutler are strikingly similar to the reasons Angry young softball player didnt make it to the show (Bad coach, bad teammates)

He's having a career year despite having an idiot as a head coach.

You do realize that this possibly being his best year ever is not a compliment to Jay Cutler right?

Josh McCown had a career year with this idiot at coach too. He still sucks.

McCown did it before the league figured Trestman out. Who would have thought that Cover 3 could cripple an offense?

A career year in which you have 15 turnovers in 9 games, is not a very good year or career.

Is it Tresman's fault Jay is turning the ball over? Did Tresman say," Hey Jay, make sure you hold the ball down around your waist and chug it like a nerf football off your back foot."

No shit cij. You look at the NE box score and think, "Cutler had a pretty good game." Nas is failing to mention that Cutler was down 38-7 at halftime. And yes, Nas, the defense sucked that game but part of the reason they were down so big is that Cutler had 66 passing yards in the first half and could not sustain a single drive.

QB fumbles are usually blamed on the offensive line. Cutler doesn't get benefit I see.

Nas, you are making yourself look stupid here. Cutler has 15 turnovers this year, and he is at least partly at fault for that.

I was one of the biggest and most vocal Cutler fans on the board here for years, and even I now realize that I was wrong.

I have acknowledged that Cutler has been bad the last 2 games. I think Trestman and Tucker get the lion's share of the blame. Despite all the problems Cutler has been forced to overcome he is on pace to have 30+ touchdowns and about 17 interceptions. I'll take that every year.

Why don't you include the fumbles? How many of those is he on pace to lose?

If the fumbles are 'usually blamed on the OL' then shouldn't the WRs get credit for the touchdowns, not Cutler? You can't have it both ways, Nas.

Cutler has been bad all season except for Atlanta and one half against SF. The rest of this season he has been bad or mediocre.

Only Bears "fans" look at fumbles when talking about their QB. If you think Cutler has been bad all season with the exception of 6 quarters we really don't have anything else to talk about. I doubt Rick would say something like that.

So as a "fan" I should simply ignore fumbles from the QB that are picked up and returned for touchdowns?

Cutler has been bad or mediocre with the exception of 6 quarters this season. Maybe 7 if you include the 1st quarter against GB at Solider Field.

I doubt any other fan base knows how many fumbles their QB has. Bears fans look for ways to tear Cutler down.

Because they don't fumble almost every game like Cutler does!

We don't have to look real hard. In fact, its harder to find ways to build him up.

How many games has Cutler fumbled in? Aren't most fumbles the result of a blindside hit?

Unless we are talking about a fumbled snap QB's have very little control over not getting hit from the blindside.

It's probably more like 8 quarters if we don't count the second half of New England which we shouldn't.

It's pretty clear Nas is just having fun now. This is an undeniably horrible thought otherwise.

Even the garbage time production sucks. At 42-0 I would expect at least 24 points or something after the half from a supposed high powered offense, but even then nothing happened.

Yeah nas this is Jay's career year, meaning the end of his career as a viable long term starting QB. Screw Cutler and the horse that rode in on him.
