My Good Friend Mr. Doctor Kennel Noise,
My Glucose IV bottles need to be refridgerated, as well as my insulin. I also like to keep frozen snicker bars in there in case my great great great grandson Happy Jason shows up, he likes to lick them when they're cold and hard. Oh, and ice for my Gin.
Hey Hey You You I don't like your boyfriend, and I think you need a new one Buddy,

By the way Mac, do you forsee ESPN1000 attempting to get any of the four (yes four) major sports on their airwaves in the future? Or at least attempt in getting the Bulls / White Sox back or making a move for the Blackhawks?

HG will be with us for two segments - in studio - today at 4:00. Howard was an excellent guest when he was Terrell Davis' blocking back in his Denver days and he's a well prepared, warm analyst for the Big Ten Network (and now, us).

We also had Ron Zook on Wednesday at 2:20. And unlike his last stop, which fell short of some of the expectations here, we inquired about injuries and his offensive line. You post it here, we say it there.

Heard the Griffith segment today--outstanding radio, IMO. Actually stayed in the car in my driveway to hear it end, have not done that in a long time.

And no. But they don't seem to be working as a team with all the digs on Harry so either work as a team or figure out something else. I think they have sounded better as of late.

There is an FM option out there, but it's a long shot.

I don't know, Mac, there's a knot of short shows/surplus of talent between 10-2 down the dial, plus whatever happens with North's contract. Plus, the very late running of the Dan Patrick syndicated whatever. As for Tirico's show, who knows? Will it be a mainstay

I smell "volatility", and things can happen while they rearrange the lawn chairs. Maybe a team needs to be broken up to do a morning slot...

Oh yeah, you asked for questions :-) What if I just want to ruminate some?

Mac,
Whenever Harry is missing from the group, Jurko seems much more into the show-better prepared-with more solid contributions. I thought at one time he just stepped up in those situations, sensing that greater contributions might be required of him( some days-any contribution would be a greater effort). But now I am thinking that perhaps it's just that he's in a better mood whenever Harry is not around. I know that the jab's that go back and forth with those two can be entertaining at times, but I get the feeling that Jurko really doesn't have a great deal of use for Harry. Is this accurate? I love when Jurko says "interesting" after Harry informs the listeners about something-when any regular listener knows that "interesting" is Jurko code for-That was just a collassal waste of our time!

Mulli, Hanley, and Murph being called a surplus of talent has to be the overstatement of the year on the CSFMB

A few months ago, you mentioned the execs in Bristol were thinking of expanding MJH to other Midwestern cities. What's the latest on those plans? I'll hang up and listen for my answer.

Mac,

I also would like to hear a little hockey talk. Not a whole segment, but to just shut it off with the horn whenever something comes up is a nice bit, but pretty condescending. It's not like NCAA softball or something.

Also, what is your favorite sausage: Italian, Polish or Brat?

If you are doing a weight loss contest, I would advise you to include a few listeners with weekly weigh ins. Each person should have a personal trainer assigned to him (or her, as Spaulding may be game for it in her current state) provided by a national workout chain. There should be a significant prize at the end for the biggest loser. Harry v. Jurko would be boring.

Jurko is ballast. You don't notice him because we hate Harry so much.

when are you going to finally unbutton your shirt and reveal the red Bucky shirt you wear to all the listeners?

Thanks for the kick up in college football talk. Maybe some additional Big Ten preview and picks would be a good add too.

This topic came up during the Thursday teasing of Jurko about his protege Billy OC:

In the word of Babba Waters, If you were a twee, what kind of twee would you be? How about Jurko and Harry?

Hey Mac,

Its very apparent that MJH and your producers have embraced the board. Have you ever invited others from the station to log on and "pull up a keyboard", and if so, why have they not chosen to? I wouldn't mind seeing a Carmen or a Silvy or a JHood post their thoughts to us. As a matter of fact, JHood had his own message board before this one came to existence (If anyone remembers www.jhoodshow.com).

I asked Silvy why he didn't post when I met him at the golf outing. He said he prefers to read rather than post.

He probably thinks it would change the objectivity of the board.

I talked to him about it as well and Silvy said the same thing. After the North thread where somebody posted a comment that there has been to threads since September I emailed him and suggested that he seriously think about signing up. I think he should. But I do know that he reads the Board...
