Ch dropped the ball on the preview but his favorite non producing top point getter for the team so far forward Toews just assisted on a Kane pp goal to even the score 1-1.

As of today the Hawks are a very mediocre team

Hey, I don't want to monopolize the thread-starting. Other people should get shots at it. I don't have anything interesting or intelligent to say anyway.

This one's heading down the toilet faster than what I unleashed after eating some bad Chinese earlier this week. :puker: :pukel:

No big deal, they're just bored. They'll not make egregious turnovers when it counts.

As a reward/pick-me-up for the few following this game, I'll share a bit of an unrelated laugh with you all to help distract from the less than stellar effort for a few minutes.

Surely you know the recent trevails of one Jose Canseco ... tl;dr cleaning five guns at one time (not a euphemsim), didn't at any point think to make sure they were unloaded and clear, and shot one of his fingers off.

It's possible you didn't hear, but likely could have guessed, that he was able to get it re-attached.

Perhaps what you don't know is he followed that up loony toon meltdown on Twitter on the power of comets, ostensibly due to booze and/or painkillers related to losing a digit ignominiously.

What you likely don't know is the next chapter in this digital drama ... that he was at a poker tournament last night and, well, let's go to the twitter account and get it from the horse's "mouth" himself:

https://twitter.com/JoseCanseco/status/533406369886400513
Ok well I might as well tell you .I was playing in a poker tournament last night and my finger fell off .someone took a video of it.

Later ...

https://twitter.com/JoseCanseco/status/533407157425676288
This guy called my agent and sold him the video.of my finger falling off .it looks kinda funny.lol

So, surely, the internet will deliver in the near future. "Franky Four Fingers" from Snatch would smile.

So is this team pretty much gonna be a 5,6 or 7 seed? Or you think they'll be a top 4 seed when it's all done?

Not that it's horrible to be a 5 or a 6 in this loaded conference. From what people say.

I am really, really getting sick of hearing Eddie talk about "getting it to the net" and all related comments, only because I say the same goddamned thing game in and game out and for whatever reason, that message gets repeatedly lost on this team.

Who should we blame when they lose like this? A fourth liner or the guy making the most money with a C on his jersey. Ok we'll blame a fourth liner.

Every year I think Kaner will finally be a 50 goal scorer and or 100 points. Every year I'm wrong. And he won't be this year either.

He's never even gotten 40 goals that Kane. Best point year was his 3rd year with 88. Granted, you had the stike shortened season and he was hurt some last year.

I thought Kane was going to hit 100 last year but he tailed off and then had a season-ending injury. I don't think anyone is going to hit 100 points this year. We're in another dead puck era.

I just hope the Hawks don't find the Stars boring. They've only won six out of 17 games outright. That's not good. This is the last season we'll have as a contender for a long time; I'd like them to give some indications that they may make the most of it.

Easier to blame the top point man on the team?

Our favorite beanpole Joakim Nordstrom is back up, Peter Regin back down (you get a brief waiver exemption after you come up). I'm sure after six weeks in Rockford, playing at the NHL level again won't bore him.

He's been okay on the wing in Rockford, but it's Mark McNeill who's really been delivering. I'm sure he'll be the next to appear.

Top players get the most ice time. How many zero, one and two goals games do we have to endure before folks start having the concerns I keep bringing up? If I recall C was 50th in points leaguewide.

Toews is the team's leading scorer and #42 in the league. Maybe if he talks about leadership some more he can pass Tyler fucking Bozak.
