everyone knew that. oil should have never hit $100 a barrel. i played video games as a kid that would depict that very scenario as the end of civilization.

and ill take this $2.95 a gal thing, but i wont be happy until it goes below $1.99. i dont expect to see the 99 cents i was used to when i first started driving, but $3 is still overpriced. yes, i know almond milk costs $3.50 a gallon, it has nothing to do with oil prices. our largest and most sophisticated infrastructure on the planet facilitates the production and distribution of oil. it really SHOULD be the cheapest liquid on the planet. and as far as the carbon we are releasing, yea that is a problem. but youre not going to change anything by outlawing it and going green all at once- the drug war has shown us the black markets will always prevail in the face of dictatorship. we need to slowly work the RIGHT alternatives into the market in a way that subconsciously drives people away from what we shouldn't be doing.

What's odd is we are an island of cold. While we suffer the planet overall keeps breaking "warmest month ever" records.

Last year my mistake was never leaving town. Seeing as the Bears aren't going to help us this year (when the Bears play in January it makes winter go faster) I have channeled my inner Fealz and booked two warm climate trips; so at least this year there are winter breaks to look forward to.

The problem with trips to warmer climates is that they are too temporary.
This cold just waits here, knowing you'll come back - and then takes it out on you for missing a week or two
