Leash is right. I'm sure there are similar conversations in other cities which describe Chicago as the worst fan base or whatever, etc. It's impossible to quantify, but it sort of makes for chauvinistic conversation among insiders.

While I want to believe that and it seems like a reasonable stance, I think of some groups of high school teams and how they behave. There are definitely fan bases on that small scale that are worse than others.

Im not sure if it evens out on such a large scale or what

For NFL and college fan bases, the law of large numbers applies. There is only anecdotal evidence on a small scale to suggest that any fan base is worse than another. And it's wrong.

At least in college, there are some fan bases that embrace it though.

I agree with you on the large scale but are you saying there arent high school fans that are more obnoxious than others? Id have to disagree.

I will agree that there are some cultures in student sections that embrace being idiots. For example, the "Cameron Crazies" which JORR mentioned earlier. But that's the culture created by the school, not the individual fans.

Wisconsin fans do though.

They are well known for their "Fuck You. Eat Shit" chant. The school isn't a big fan.

I've never heard of that. I do know they like to bounce up and down to a song that used to be on B96 every day. I do know that.
