for those guys finding out the way they did but 3 sports stations is too many for this market.

Milwaukee has 3, and Chicago can't?

With the talent pool available I would say they can't.

Dahl should be looking to scoop up Buzz immediately. They work well together.

Why would you ever retire from radio? Getting paid for 4 hours of bullshitting is a dream.

you know in all honesty, i wonder if these guys have the werewithol to do what i always thought stephen berger should have done with his DOA gimmick job: GO BALLS OUT! oreo history month! subtly make fun of a lot of stuff that us hardcores have known for years. if you're as fucked for hosting gigs in chicago as much as we would all assume right now you can go totally proactive like rick renteria should have done this year on a DOA mission.... just go all out. push the envelope. i dont give a fuck radio could catch on and i really gave some heartfelt advice for doing usteams/hitboxes/etc and start up a patreon where people can donate whatever and do some transcendental stuff with the tired format since you lot were good corporate soldiers and found out you're cannon fodder who doesnt rank high on management's list of priorities.... you have your (and mac's? * twilight zone *) 6 weeks to go out there and put your own creative stamp on the admittedly-tired-format. if bernstien is a heavyweight there's room for faux/quasi-populist radio.... especially if you're gonna play up the whole WE'RE SUPPOSED TO BE HERE TOMORROW BUT WHO KNOWS?!?!! angle.

yeah most likely the corporate culture will shitcan you on that based alone, but it aint like webio guys were ballin unless you consider monsters and money in the morning and/or north on mancow's 6-8am channel 50 show a big deal.

here's a chance to make your footprint in the industry and lord knows we could use some real disillusioned people "telling it liek it is" in a way kapman can only dream of.

take those 6 weeks and run with it. if you do radio too good / real and they shitcan you, im telling you that streaming via ustream or something with a patreon might show people that you've endeared yourselves to enough people to keep going. give it a shot!

at hte very least WILL WE BE BACK TOMORROW radio is enough to make us tune in

He's creating a new station for them in the Peoria/Bloomington/Normal area. 24/7 Bradley and Illinois State talk. Maybe some Wesleyan.

whaddya know another caller who never listened to the format but discovered this beacon/torch of truth in the wilderness and it was an all day thing.

i cant get that aspect of this getting out and finding all these diehard game fans who listened 12+ hrs/day in their car but evidently just like.... man. WHERE DO ALL THESE FUCKING PEOPLE COME FROM?!?!

oh and the finfer patreon / free intenret stream would totally work in temrs of them working something to keep their broadcasting thing going when they lose their daily listenership of hudreds to thousands from the game. so go that route and put it on you and see what happens.... FFS!
