From 6 months ago, the ESPN lineup has gone from a solid D to an A- when you look at the lineup of shows throughout the day. Mike and Mike are listenable but still somewhat annoying with too much shtick. Silvy and Waddle are getting more comfortable with the show improving a lot from the start, and IMO are better than Silvy and Carmen were. Mike Trico has been very good for a national show so far, especially considering it's brand new and will likely improve. MJH is still strong even though they've lost some on their fastball. The Show has become a very good show with Hood seeming to settle in, get comfortable, and be a team player with his co hosts. I just wish I could listen more.

Compare this to the Score right now and you have a terrible (but somewhat improved since Annie left) show with crap ratings, a solid Mulley & Hanley, Murph (some love, many HATE), B&B who are revitalized and a very strong show, and then nothing much better than dead air after 6pm. If things stay the same, I PREDICT that in the next book the two stations will be about even and the one after that will see ESPN 1000 back on top. Book it.

I agree Hawkeye but I think 12-2 could still improve...

I think it's much better than Dan Patrick's miserable self brain massages.

Also, well put hawkeye. This station is better than it ever has been for my listening habits. Justin Craig got some early criticism on here and it probably was unjust considering he didn't bring Salisbury in here. I think he played his cards right by being patient and making sure Salisbury and Rosenbloom weren't going to work here. Keep in mind he came from Bristol and there was probably some type of pressure on making things work out for Sean. Craig stayed patient and put a nice plan in motion. I'll give a thumbs up for him to making this station much better than the Score. MJH has really had that familiar "fun" feeling to it lately too. It reminds me of why I like it way better than Boers and Bernstein.

Much improved. I wish I was able to listen more. Funny because 6 months ago I was struggling to find something to tune into.

I'm really glad MJH has stopped with the teases. Something must have gotten accomplished in that meeting a about month back.

Not being a SCORE listener, I can't really comment on them. But I have been spending more time on ESPN 1000. I always flip between that and Sirius's NFL station... specifically The Afternoon Blitz with Adam Schein and Solomon Wilcots. Good stuff from MJH lately, but when it goes baseball on me, I gots to flip to my football channel.

I've actually been listening to North more that the broad has been shown her rightful place - her house's kitchen. Mike and Mike have way too much East Coast love and tend to beat topics into the ground.

My dial doesn't really leave ESPN1000 from 9AM onward. Usually I'm too lazy to change the channel at noon - and then go to lunch for an hour. So Tirico is no big deal to me.

I agree for the most part.....Silvy and Waddle have had as much to do with ESPN's super-mini resurgence the last few months. They are a good combo and that allowed Carmen to hook up with J-Hood for an improving show in the evenings. I still think the Score has ESPN beat on the weekends though. There is still too much national broadcasting on the weekends. Get Canellis or Finfer in on the weekends more and for the love of all that is sacred and right in this world we live in, get Chet and Mongo off the air.....brutal radio!
