No. The reserve. You brought up the Cubs in this thread when discussing the LaRoche signing. Or more specifically, Cubs fans and how they would react if the Cubs had signed 'cha boy.

Ah. Oh well. Carry on.

How many names do you want of people complaining about it?

As many as you can name, with linked examples. Please then create a searchable index using C#, so that I may peruse the data at my leisure.
Its very easy to find. There are numerous examples of this across both Sox and Cubs sections. If you wanted to, you could easily find more than a few examples yourself with probably less than 4 or 5 minutes of searching.

Here's a guy who is just certain Rizzo is going to have a better career than a guy with 114 OPS+ after 11 seasons.

IMU is not an exception. He's the typical Cub fan. Please remember this when Sox fans point out the unrealistic expectations of MOST Cubs fans.

MOST Sox fans are trailer trash meth addicts I guess

No, you're wrong. All your thoughts on the Cubs and Sox are completely slanted.

Should I put ATTN JORR every time BadRogue makes a post about how the plan might not work. or JimmyPasta or Curious Hair or Mr. Reason or Kirkwood or Jaw Breaker.

There's 20 of those that you ignore. Then IMU or Denis pops up with one post and you throw around words like 'most'

You see what you want to see. You're doing what you accuse Saber people of doing

You have your conclusion- "Cub fans are idiots" and then you go about looking for proof

If you want to lie to yourself and believe that most Cub fans are idiots (to make yourself feel superior i guess? Be my guest. I disagree.)

Im going back on a pledge to not defend Cub fans because you called me out by name. I really have wasted too much time worrying about opinions on the fanbase from people who hate the team.

ATTN Rogers Park Bryan - Do you think it is reasonable to think Anthony Rizzo will have a better career than Adam Laroche? If you do think it is reasonable, do you expect it to happen?

We've already established who started this line of discussion. I'm sorry your fellow Sox fans aren't on the same page as you. I offered to move the Rizzo discussion elsewhere and the offer was declined.

There are plenty of examples in this section started by Cubs fans.

There are SEVEN threads on the front page of this section alone started by bigfan. Go read them and then tell me Cubs fans don't troll in the Sox section.

I think your position is pretty reasonable once you explained it.

I think your original  at the notion was a little off. I mean he could end up having a worse career.

And Brett Jackson could end up still putting up monster seasons.

But the thought still deserved to be laughed at.

No, it really didnt. They are very similar players and longevity can never be assumed.

Rizzo has the potential to be better, but it's far from a sure thing.

He may be. I'm not going to begin lumping Sox fans into large numbers of stereotyped personalities.

Remember...I'm the pro-State of Palestine guy.

There are no guarantees, but I'm confident in what I said. Of course, when it becomes evident you won't notice as you'll be busy fantasizing about the Cubs' next big thing.

LaRoche's 162 game average is 27 hr, 92 RBI, .811 OPS, 35 doubles, 78 R. Its not unfathomable to say that Rizzo may not hit those numbers.

IMU and Joe Orr are both wrong. Its not a sure thing he will surpass them, but its not a sure thing he will fall short either.

Right. My money is simply on the guy who has already done it. That certainly isn't something they should elicit a derisive  .

Steroid testing, huge strike zone and specialization of pitching. I'd bet against Rizzo.

You are the one who laughed it off. You seem confident enough to give odds and set the stakes.

Usually the one that suggests the bet provides that info.

I'm fairly confident, though, yes.

Rizzo is likely to have more years in MLB, so time works in his favor. That should take care of HR, RBI, WAR... all of the stacking numbers.

.264 BA and .811 OPS are solid career numbers, but at a pretty young age Rizzo has shown the ability to eclipse those by a decent margin. I don't think Rizzo is a finished product, so I could see him further improving and having several seasons .950 or 1.000 OPS.

Laroche only surpassed a .950 OPS in one season.

If Kirkwood declines to suggest the bet, I'll think of something.

This bet is too long and hard to track. Pick something easier. I say Baez has better numbers than ya boy Castro this year.
