Illinois -3.5 vs. Iowa (5Dimes) This line settled back down after getting as high as five (it still is some places.) I'll jump on it now that it has lowered once again.

Notre Dame +14, BC normally game plans ND very well, but I think this will be a back and forth tight game as ND has some confidence after last week and their younger players continue to mature.

NYJ +3.5 vs. Philly Home dog with a line at 3.5; what would make anyone think that Philly should cover this?

Another year, another soft Purdue team that beats up on cupcakes, and gets pounded by the big boys.

I think I need to institute a strict "no college football" rule. This is embarassing today.

Jacksonville +6.5 vs. Houston Jacksonville is the 3rd best team in the AFC. It sucks that Houston lost their best player on offense, but those are the breaks, and they are going to spin their wheels until they get Johnson back.

Hawkeye, did you really get that line?? I went numerous places and didn't see anything above 4.5, moot point but kudos on that line.

I use covers.com when researching the game and they give the lines from 8 of the top sports books. Last night they have Illinois as -6 on Beted.

For example, the Cincy/Louisville game tonight has a spread of -7.5 on 5dimes and -10 on bodog. If I like the Carndials, I'd use the +10 but if I liked the Bearcats, I'd get -7.5 :-)

I think my brother's 'friend' was at -5 to get some Iowa action.

Eagles -3.5
Jets offense is really bad, and Andy Reid doesn't lose after a bye week.

Bears -5
Bear D shuts down Jackson, scoring on a few turnovers.

Titans +3
Titan D shuts down Garcia, Vince makes a few plays with his legs.

Bears U37
Both offenses suck. Most of the pts scored defensively.

Ravens U37
Same as the Bear game.

Panthers U40
Both teams hurting at the QB position. Should be a low scoring game, controlled by the ground games.

Another Bluegrass Team- Louisville +320

Bengals -3 vs Chiefs- Bengals don't get this one and the season's over, I think the CHiefs are the worst team in the AFC, Palmer to Johnson.

Bears -4.5 vs Vikings- I think the Bears are back on track and the VIkings can stop the run and run good, but can't stop the pass and have no quarterback.

Titans +3 vs Buccaneers- A risky pick here, because an underdog and everybody is saying Titans, but the Buccanneers have lost a lot of running backs and VInce Young right now plays and finds way to win.

Redskins +3 vs Packers- The top NFC game of the day, Redskins are playing great right now and they should be able to stop Favre passing and the Packers can't run against the Skins. To help the Skins Moss should be back.

Cardinals -5 vs Panthers- Whoever starts for the Panthers will be bad, the Cardinals are playing great defense and there known for offense, no Boldin but I think the Cardinals offense wears out the Panthers Defense to get this one.

Patriots -5 vs Cowboys- I like the Patriots in this one, Brady to Moss all day and if the Cowboys somehow stop Moss, the Patriots have other receivers that could be number 1's on other teams, a underlying thing is that Cowboys coach Wade Phillips says there should be a mark or tarnish on the Patriots from spygate, ask the Chargers what happens when you bring up spygate.

Saints +6 vs Seahawks- I have to think the Saints win one game and the Seahawks looked bad last week, have some injuries, and not to look ahead, a Saints win and next week is Falcons, so a good chance to turn the season around.

Bears -4.5 This will be a suprisingly high scoring affair spurred by a couple defensive TDs. In the end the Vikings non exisitant pass defense will prove to be the difference. Bears 31-Vikings20

Bears-Vikes Over 37 see above

Cleveland -4 Jason Wright will fill in admirably for Lewis scoring a TD and rusing for 87 yards, Lemon will be a Lemon in his start, Browns 24 - Dolphins 10

New England -5 Sorry Romo's performance last week will carry into this game where the New Englands D is going to rattle his cage early and often. Look to Moss to have a big game like he always does against americas team New England 35 Dallas 13

San Diego -9.5 Look for a repeat of last week esp since they are home, LT will put up huge numbers and Oakland will return to more of their last year status San Diego 41 Oakland 6

5-1 yesterday. Sun Oct 14th

Minny +4.5 over Chicago

Bears still havent covered as a favorite. Minny lost both of their road games by 3 so I think they definitely stay in this one.

Tenn +3 over Tampa

Dog has covered last 12 Tenn games. Good enough for me.

Under 45.5 Mia/Cle

Raw QB for Miami. Something tells me this ends up about 21-20.

Under 37 Hou/Jax

Jax two home games this year have had 23 and 20 pts scored. Most pts scored in Jax the last four times these two have played here is 35.

Over 52.5 NE/Dal

NE has reached the 30's in all their games, Dallas has scored 30+ in their two home games.

Over 44 Oak/SD

Oakland has gone over in every game this year, SD went under in their 1s game but has gone over since.

This is different. There are serious flaws with this team unlike anything from before Orton's senior year. This team is worse than soft, it just isn't that good even though they still win at least 8 games this year.

Giants -4 vs Falcons- I like the way the Giants are playing right now, the Falcons looked horrible last week, and an added bonus for the Giants, the Cowboys lost, so can gain a game in the divison.

Week 7 Monday Night Reach

NY Giants -4 1/2 @ Atlanta (43 1/2)

G-men give NYC SOMEthing to cheer for. Every QB is better in a dome(See: Rexy signing with Minne.), Joey Blue Skies sucks where-ever he is at all the time. NYG defense will do well and cash one in during garbage time. Take the over.

NYG 31 ATL 14

God call Don. It was the kind of week that gets your knees broken for me. It started out so well with Wednesday and Thursday and deteriorated from there.
