Just heard on CBS news that the doctor in NYC lied to officials that he hadn't been in public and that he self quarantined. They tracked his credit card, and found out he went all over NYC. And the nurse in question is now defying Maine officials who want her to stay isolated until Nov 7, the end of the incubation period. It's just 1 week. Stop bitching and going on every talk show with the woe is me shit and stay inside for a week. Done.

Bottom line, you work in an ebola area, you get isolated. That should be the expectation.

There is a saying "Doctors make the worst patients". This is one of those reasons.

I'm pretty sure if you care enough about dying ebola patients in Africa to go there and risk your own life you should show more care for those in your own country to limit your contact until you know you aren't a threat. I know it is alarmist, but a place like NYC is the worst case scenario for American ebola epidemics. Residents have no choice and with the high population density, huge reliance on public transportation, combined with a lot of low educated people and a large homeless population it could prove much more difficult to control. A doctor who just returned can miss out on going to Brooklyn to bowl.
