the KKK had made statements about waking the "sleeping giant" in Missouri. They said they were poised to act in Ferguson, to protect citizens and property from violence and vandalism. but when all the shit hit the fan, they were nowhere to be found. They had the chance to make a positive difference and do something that might have gone a long way in gaining support for their organization and they dropped the ball. Very disappointing.

I don't know what about my original post is really controversial. The KKK had an opportunity to do some good in Ferguson. If they could have stopped the violence and vandalism that instead took place, that would have been a good thing. It also might have been of great benefit to their organization, as it would have put them in a more positive light than most view that organization commonly. But they failed to deliver as promised.
