The move did not surprise me. Nebraska longs for another shot at a national title. 9 wins a year are great if you are somewhere else. After the game Friday, you could sense in his comments that he was on the way out (lot of talk of guys not quitting, fighting for the win). I think Bo knew coming into the game it would be his last and put it all out there.

He will get a look at another big program.

Scott Frost would be my pick for a coach there.

Now if someone could convince Kirk Ferentz to retire and bring Bret Bielema home - I'd be ecstatic.

A little surprising that they would let him go after extending his contract until 2019 and owing
him 7.9 million dollars until he ends up taking another job. I don't think he should have too
much trouble getting another gig. He could take a year off and collect a nice check if he wanted
to.

Well some dumbass Arkansas fines would be fine with this, I for one would not.

They have an athletic budget over 100 million dollars. They can afford it.

Bielema won't go now. Kirk is probably 3 years away from retiring if he can go out on his own accord.

Not saying he'd be the savior but BB at Iowa might bring back Iowa football. Iowa football is approaching dumpster fire status.

I just hate that dude from his time at Wisc and do not want him back in the Big 10.

I am enjoying seeing him struggle at Arkansas. Hopefully that continues.

Pelini may have needed to be fired, but I think Nebraska's another program who's ship has sailed and need to accept 9-3 is a reasonable season now. If every program was as good as they felt their "tradition" was, there'd be no bad teams in CFB.

There are a whole lot of schools fan bases that should take this to heart.

My girlfriend is from Nebraska as is most of her extended family. You wouldn't believe how into Nebraska football
they are. Her dad was calling for his head after the game Saturday. They seriously have nothing else in the state
to root for other than Nebraska sporting events, most notably football. They honestly think they deserve to be in
the same conversation and strata as Alabama. No one will ever measure up to Tom Osborne.

And that is why it was time for him to go.

He had three chances to go to the rose bowl and failed each time.

Omaha might be a good place for an American League team if we ever get to 32 MLB teams. They've been a Royals affiliate since the Royals started playing, I think. Maybe they're ready for a team of their own.

From SEC to B1G? Seems to happen more often the other way around (Saban from MSU to LSU, Bielema from Wisky to AK,...).

Then again LSU's Les Miles is often rumored for the UMich job, so he and Richt would make 2 moving in the same season!

Nope just because a report comes out they want a coach, doesn't make anything true.
