Nice to see Peppers not being completely terrible too. I thought he was definitely done. Sack in 3 straight games now for the first time since 2010.

This is just too easy. Just give Green Bay the Lombardi trophy now and let's all move on to 2015.

No NFC competition, right? Would have said Arizona but Palmer is out. GB looks like they're on the way to a SB birth but football is too random for me to feel good about what should be a feel good pick.

Better late than never.

I hope we get SF in the playoffs actually. GB will run up the score.

Playing back-up quarterbacks for 2 straight weeks skews their performance.

Yes and you said Cutler was the MVP, we should all be pardoned for our silly comments.

Came across this in the Bill Simmons mailbag column today...

Quote:
Q: It’s despicable that any of your readers would compare Favre to Cutler, but I don’t put it past Bears fans. How can you compare a shoo-in Hall of Famer to a guy that Bear fans wanted to sit behind Josh Freaking McCown? Chicago tried to buy success and failed miserably. Sorry a billion dollars on free agents didn’t pay off, Chicago. Sorry your QB is eating up so much cap space that it’s sinking your god-forsaken franchise, Chicago. Sorry massacring you in both games this year, especially the second one on national TV, Chicago. Typical Bears fans. And to think I almost felt sorry for you guys when we were up 42-0 at halftime. P.S. Brett Favre will never advertise for Cialis or Viagra, those commercials would be too unbelievable. He’ll be firing on all cylinders until the day he dies. And yes, I did buy 2 pairs of Wrangler jeans after I saw him in their ads. Burn in Hell, Bears fans.
—Nas, Philadelphia

First, that email is fucking awesome. Second, I'm wondering if it was written by a certain self-loathing Bear fan board member who overcompensates by being irrationally positive about them on the board.

don't forget he predicted a 13-3 bears season and a superbowl this year. and you know...that'll happen again if the bears hire jim harbaugh. truly a humble fan.

W_Z, your Saints are something else. There's nobody that can predict which version shows up.

it's been that way for a long time now under sean payton. they've never been able to put 2 really good seasons together under him. they're like the stock market...which makes sense, considering he's such a gambler. i still wish they would've buried the steelers in the end...that 35-32 looks like they had another miracle win. but they really played just about their best game of the season for about 3 quarters yesterday.

To be fair this thread is full of Packer fans questioning the competence of the coaching and GM..until a winning streak hits. Then all is good until the next loss, at which point the coaches and GM will be thrown under the boss again. Definitely the most fickle fan base on this board...

1. Packers fans don't get mad when Capers gets criticized. That comment is horseshit. But, I still don't trust the guy.
2. McCarthy get criticized for bizarre playcalls (Saints onside kick, offensive playcalling, etc). Though, to suggest he's worst coach in the North? Yea....

It's still mostly Rodgers. He's the best quarterback that's ever lived. I still don't like McCarthy and think Capers is terrible. Ted Thompson is decent, I don't think we've complained about him much. And it's not like we are suddenly heaping praise on the coaching staff. So shut the hell up vegan.

Green Bay fans get pretty intolerable in December. January can't get here soon enough.

Agreed. Not sure there's an NFC team capable of hanging within 2 touchdowns of them at Lambeau.

I'll see what the spread is when the game happens.
