Don't look it up, CH.

Take a stab at how many captains in the NHL scored 40+ last year (won't even touch the "perennial" part, just last year alone)?

You are teasing give it to me.. I say 10.

Well, no one's scoring any goals anymore, to be honest. We're in Dead Puck Part II here.

The answer is...........ONE!!!!

One freakin captain scored 40+ last year.
Ovechkin. You'd rather have him?
3 players in the whole league scored 40+ last year. That's it. But 19 sucks. He should score more.

When he starts making eight figures next year at the expense of several of his teammates, yes, he should score more. Why are you always on my ass about this? You can't pay a guy ten million to win Selkes. Come on.

That is strange. I must have had points not goals stuck in my head. 40 goals. wow that used to be more common.

Yeah, but next year you're losing Versteeg, Richards, Sharp, possibly Seabrook, to say nothing of Hossa's attrition. Saad is due his raise and the falling Canadian dollar is about to fuck the whole league. The goals have to come from somewhere. I'd like them to come from a highly paid #1 center. I don't think I'm being unreasonable in asking for 70 to 80 points from a player making as much money as he's set to make.

Because you constantly complain about it.

And it makes no sense.
Again, you can get Ovechkin for about $750k less than Toews next year. You'd prefer that?

What are your offensive expectations for a #1 center making $10,500,000 a year. Goals and assists, primarily, but you can add +/- and facial contortions if you please.

Back to tonight's game, sort of, I really enjoyed the prolonged shot of Brodeur on the bench with a big fat plug in his mouth. What a scumbag.

I don't want an offensive minded, #1 center that can't/won't play on all parts of the ice......because I'm not a Greek AOL executive.

I don't care about Selke trophies or Ross trophies or Richard trophies. I only care about 1 trophy. He's pretty damn good at leading his team to that trophy isn't he? Even if he never, ever does it again. He's hockey royalty already. And he's 26. :o

Loving this Versteeg-Richards-Kane line. Raanta's having a great night. I don't think he's an NHL goaltender in the long run, but he's having a great night.

I'm not so sure that Crawford will finish out his ridiculous contract that the Hawks gave him. I also think that he is as good as he is going to get. Raanta isn't fully mature yet & will improve. Anti may just become the Hawks starting Goalie in a couple of years.

Best bet for moving Crawford is an expansion draft. I don't see someone trading for him.
