There are 2 classifications for "worst movie" - fun bad & mind-numbingly bad. Troll 2 and Gymkata (starring Kurt Thomas) lead my list of the former. Drop Dead Fred, What About Bob, and Land of the Lost (2009) were pure torture given that I was a fan of the main stars going in. Less shocking but still horrible was National Treasure 2.

Rob Zombie's "reimagining" of Halloween is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. It was so bad that partway through I paused it and went online to see if it was supposed to be a tongue-in-cheek parody, but that didn't seem to be the case. It was laughable.

Crash was awful, too. Transparently manipulative dreck. Based on the rave reviews it received I expected much, much more.

Pootie Tang and The Room are 2 of the finest examples of cinema I've ever witnessed.

dammit i make my post and then as i go up back towards the view active topics i see this.... respect going out to you double R as when i saw the thread title and stopped and thought about it, yeap, you can't escape the 'tang.

the worst part about pootie tang was that i think he was a little bit character from the chris rock show.... and man i have nothing but fond memories of the chris rock show. TUPAC SHAKUR BOULEVARD. MIKE TYSON FOR PRESIDENT!

...so you take the worst character from the chris rock show, where the writers at the very least had moments, at best were pretty damn good..... and you make THAT? yeah double R you nailed that one. i cant even describe the movie really cuz its just so aggressively bad cuz it's all about some inside joke that's simply not funny and when you're trying to make a wannabe SNL style movie (you know, one punchline run into the ground over and over and over and over and over again) and you dont even have a funny premise? DOA.

edit: if they have this chris rock show on dvd i need to get a copy so i can get a screengrab of the I SUPPORT TUPAC SHAKUR BOULEVARD ("KEEP YA HEAD UP" as the slogan underneath it =) so i can get the highest res image possible to make a t-shirt.

Wolf of Wall Street deserves some recognition in this thread.

Its one thing to put no money into a movie, hire shit actors and then make a bad movie. That's expected. But, when you go A list all the way and still make a shit movie you are now in Michael Olowackandi/Pervis Ellison territory.

The worst movie I've ever seen is called Weasels Rip My Flesh. No, not Weasels Ripped My Flesh, past tense, like the Frank Zappa album, this was in present tense. You see, there used to be this streaming channel that showed old MST3K episodes, but every now and then they would show an unriffed video and open it up to the chat room to riff it. This was one of those movies. It was so bad that I've had to block out most of it, but I remember laughing very hard at the chat.

I'd love to track it down again.
