Don't know if we've done this before .If we have it'll die its rightful death. I haven't tried a lot of them but I'll throw my vote to Point. Tried it on a fishing trip 25 years ago and was ahem....hooked immediately.

The Point that was made in Stevens Point ,yes best beer ever. The Shit that Miller gives us now ,no.
Someone bought the old Point plant about 5 years ago forgot the new name but I would like to try and see how it tastes. I think it has lion in it ?

Point has become a sort of 3rd-tier craft brewery ala Leinenkugel's. Rhinelander is doing the the same thing but they still sell the original in the shorty bottles.

Squatty bottles are always good. Had an Old Style while in Mesa just to say I did as I was having a Berwyn pizza. Whatever beer is beer really until you specialize.

I find that the shorties play a nicer tune when they're rolling around on the floor of your backseat.

Is Lacrosse Lager still around? I remember they supposedly used the original Old Style recipe.

Another good selection. New Glarus seems to be popular, but Tyranena and Central Waters both make better beer.

Good call, Vince.

I haven't had that Porter but I really like the Rocky's Revenge.

I agree. Been getting more into Central Waters and Tyraenna's lately.

New Glarus makes good beers - a lot of the love is the forbidden fruit angle.

I toured the Point Brewery just a couple of years ago. Although they've had a few different owners, they're still called Point and (unless its changed very recently) still brew Point there. In fact they've greatly expanded over the last few years. When I toured them many years ago they only had 12 employees & they had to be able to perform every job.

Point also produced one of the worst beers I ever tasted - Spud, which I believe was a seasonal brewed for returning students.

I'm a fan of Central Waters, O'so and Petosi but Bull Falls in Wausau is my favorite of the Micros. I also have found Capital out of Middleton to be consistently good.

I'm basing this on you living in the Chicagoland area. If you live in bumfuck where-ever, you might not find it.

There's a store in Palatine that sells Spotted Cow for $11.99/sixer  Isn't it $6.99 at most places in WI?

This might be the best beer I've ever had out of Wisconsin:
