I want to personally thank the Cubs for being the minor league/development team for the Sox. It was nice of you to take on the burden of Samardzija's difficult years knowing it would ultimately contribute to White Sox success. This was particularly kind of you to do during the holiday season.

P.S. maybe we'll come calling in a few more years for some of your can't miss guys.

Sammy Sosa was a Ranger draft pick. I believe the Sox got him for that Perez pitcher with the Jerri Curl in his hair who threw a short game no hitter.
