Sale is great. I'm worried about the arm motion, but I don't think this question was posed as a 'long term solution.' Sale and Shark being younger overall off-sets the injury risks, sort of.

I'd take Arrieta over Shark though. Sale just beats Lester is all.

Much different situations. No one is criticizing Marshall's ability. Everyone knew Cutler's contract was bad from the start. This isn't overpaying slightly for a good pitcher that some say may not be "great." Cutler was "throwing Top QB money at an average-at-best QB for no reason."
