A nice place. Expensive. I go there yesterday for lunch with the wife and get myself a Tito's on the rocks. #fasttrack

So, we're spending over $100 (I mention just to give some context). Get myself another Tito's on the rocks. #fastertrack

Get the bill and they charged me $8 for the drink. OK, pretty standard. Then, $1 for "ROCKS". So, the drink would have been cheaper without ice?

I just spent six-thousand dollars on some raw tuna wrapped in rice and you can't even put ice in the glass without charging me for it?

If they didn't make such a damn fine hibachi steak, I'd hardly ever drink there again.

Chinese restaurants are really taking a beating here this week.

You should write a War and Peace dissertation about it like that Harvard professor did, send it to them, and see what happens.

Seriously, though, I've never seen any place up charge to put ice in a drink.

I'd understand if I was only getting a glass of ice. OK, sure.

But, I was already getting a glass of something. Just go ahead and throw a couple cubes in there on the house, sport.

What man mixes put ice in his drink? They should have charged you more for watering down vodka.

That is different. Maybe they thought you wouldn't notice it.

Technically, it's both I guess. It used to be only Japanese but they just added a huge Chinese menu.

I am reading War and Peace right now. Great book if you like historical fiction. It is a natural extension of my love for Dumas books (Three Musketeers) as it has a similar feel.

Look on the bright side Doc at least it isn't like Europe where they charge you for every glass of water and charge you to go to the bathroom.

Not really. I'll give you that drinking at breakfast can suck it out of you.

Lunch isn't too bad.

The Organization advises against alcohol at breakfasttime.

Have had this many times, often with rocks costing 2 or 3 dollars. Always rationalized it cost more because there is no cutter for the booze. Never tried ordering a drink neat in a restaurant. Is there a surcharge on that as well?

$2 or $3? I need to start going to better places.

Wouldn't ice be cutting the booze? I would think they would discount you for letting them water down their drinks.

Unless I'm driving I don't like to mix anything with my alcohol.

Weekday lunches are meant to be spent with the mistress/secretary, not the wife.
