Danks is as good as gone, in my opinion.

As for Melky, I just hope beyond hope we get none of 2013 Melky because that Melky is worse than Viciedo. That's the primary reason I'm not a fan of this deal.

1 Adam Eaton L CF
2 Melky Cabrera S LF
3 Jose Abreu R 1B
4 Adam LaRoche L DH
5 Avisail Garcia R RF
6 Conor Gillaspie L 3B
7 Alexei Ramirez R SS
8 Micah Johnson L/Carlos Sanchez S 2B
9 Tyler Flowers R C

Doesn't necessarily instill fear in opponents.

Hahn using the Bears playbook. Who cares about defense? This offense will be a horrible train wreck. Nothing like loading up on 30+ year-olds.

I don't think this team will be bad defensively. And besides, they won't have to handle many chances since the pitchers are going to be striking out a lot of batters.

I will go on record saying that Avisail Garcia's 2015 OPS will be higher than .718

I like the move. He's an ideal #2 hitter and we really needed another bat. There isn't a lot of power in this lineup but I don't think that is a big deal. This lineup can still get close to 200 home runs. Now I want a couple more proven arms.

Uhmm? Only one team had over 200 HR last year, the next closest was 186, 177

Getting CLOSE to 200 HRs gets you top 10% of power .

Pick a lane NAS

I am much happier seeing Cabrera, LaRoche, and Garcia, instead of Viciedo, Dunn, and De Aza.

I can live with .241/15/50 from my catcher.

That pretty much sums it up there.

Sox have to be better with those changes.

But it is likely that Flowers had his high water mark last year. I doubt he gets back up to those numbers again.

He faded later in the year. If he can build on his fast start we may have something.

It's not the juice, Konerko juiced for a lot of his career. It's the fact that I'm not sure he's any good anymore.

Apparently he had a spinal tumor in 2013. Maybe he'll be ok.

He still put up good numbers last year and he's about to enter his prime.
