At least we get to hear the English version of Oh Canada tonight.
Anyway, one of the worst games I was ever at in my life was Calgary at Chicago in 2002.
I had a friend that was from calgary, working on a green card splicing fiber optic cable with me in the streets of Chicago. We were contracting for Level 3 at the time, and another fiber company that was a player at the time, but I forget their name, maybe it was Nextlink or Next something or other.
Anyway we had a wager, I'd wear his Flames Jersey the next day to work or he'd wear my Hawks jersey. Out coworkers, quite well aware of our hockey affiliation, would find this endlessly entertaining the next day.
So the Hawks played one of the worst games I can remember. Alexander Karpotsev played nearly 20 minutes and did nothing but allow a nasty giveaway that resulted in a spectacular -1 in a 5-2 loss.
So I hate these pricks. Fuck em. We got a new defenseman how bout that shit?

I was at the Hawks/Flames game back in 2009 when they Hawks roared back from a 5-0 deficit to win 6-5 in OT. It was my mom's first game in the new building (she's from Canada and regularly saw the Hawks in the 60's and 70's) - after the first period of that game, she asked if we should just leave and I said no - better wait and see what happens. It was certainly a game I would never forget.
