Seems almost as ridiculous as retiring Baines' #3 while he was still playing and then give it back to him when he triumphantly returned to the south side.

It is not necessary, but cool that Lester even knew that it was his number.

Pitchers admire Wood, like it or not. Its what you get when you pitched the best single game ever.
