Walk in with various merchandise I looted today in support of Mike Brown, threw it down, started putting things away and I have my radio tuned to WSCR. Bernstein just going off on every caller, before most have a chance to talk. Not saying I expect anything great from the callers, but it's all about "IDIOT", "STUPID"...or 'is this a bit?"..."I am hanging up on you"

10 minutes and <click> just had to turn the radio off it gets so bad some days, they go from background sound to just annoyance. I am not here saying I wont or dont listen anymore, but I dont listen as much. Who knows, maybe they found a whole new cache of listeners somewhere that they didnt have before, but I just cant believe they are maintaining numbers.

Its not about being rude or mean, it's just bad. To go off on a crazy guy calling in every once in a while is fine, you should do that, its kind of the job, but caller after caller, has taken the show to new lows.

This is what I don't get......why in the hell do they take calls? Dan does not want to be challenged or called out for stupid things he has said. OK great...don't take calls. Problem solved. It's like his weak-ass excuse for not allowing comments on his Senor Columns.

I like Macs plan, or what his plan was for his show at 9 AM. he wants people that will work. Yes, that means he has to work much less, but that really is there job to "PRODUCE" the show and that means GOOD Ideas. trying out food on the air is filed under bad ideas. Drafts are even OK, if done rarely and more of a spur of the moment. To plan a COOKIE draft days in advance?

CONTESTS! Well planned, with sponsored prizes...great place to start. But wth many restrictions, legal, etc you need to PLAN this stuff and MAc isnt and shouldnt be doing that.

Let me use MACS golf event. It was/is the most well planned thing that station has done in 10 years and that is mostly Mac, so you cant tell me he doesnt have the idea to do great stuff.

Wuld like to see Abattacola, Mac and HERB! yes, you heard me...HERB. Need guys that will work and prepare for the show...like a producer even if they are on the air. Some former producers got on the air and forgot about doing creative stuff.

As a less than casual B&B listener, I normally tune out 670 at 1:20. However, when there is big things happening as there have been with The Bears, I keep it on for guests, insight, updates and analysis.

I, too, had to turn it off after the countless callers being cut off, ridiculed and humiliated. Granted, some of them asked for it or were less than entertaining to begin with. However, it seems pretty obvious that whomever screens the calls puts the weaker ones to the head of the line. Do they really have to do this? I may be wrong but thats what it seems like at times.

I thought it was a good/funny listen today. But I just don't understand why they say things like "why do we always get these calls?", "why do the idiots always call our show?". It's because that's how you stage your show. We all know that. Don't act like you are surprised to get dumb callers when the whole production of your show is based upon letting stupid callers get on air. That's what annoys me about them.

I honestly cannot believe they will bring Trestman back. But I do love that Dan is "on edge". He can't doubletalk his way out of this one.

I rarely can make it past transition. I thought it might be worth hanging around today, with the Bernsie prediction and all. Couldn't make it past the press conference before switching to 1000. Even hearing Barkley break the presser down was better than listening to two 12 year olds talking over it.

My "SOURCE" is just someone who has worked with them, it really doesnt matter, was talking to him about spring training and we started talking about Trestman, Bernstein, etc.
