I have it on in my office and in my car, but I move around a lot.
I like transition and await Beerstaiin's first conversation hijack.
I like guessing if The Parrot is in studio.
I can't wait to hear the results of the latest Twitter news.
To hear what Deadspin wrote.
I hope there's some new Social Justice cause du jour, nothing more entertaining than "us" and "them."
Listening to The Parrot go into JORR talk and guessing how long he will ramble.
I love the first non-local guest, and then the second, and so on. The local guys are all rubes.
My interest picks up when Dan goes into some dubious stat stream, he doesn't need to understand them to confuse quantative with qualitative (that's for a high ranking ALS to provide).
I love their sources, they're so unique, so ubiquitous, and of course so infallible.
I like how he fellates Lebron James, or how he puts all of Theo's nutsack in his mouth and still can talk.
But I keep coming back most of all because they're so intelligent, so insightful, and such regular people that they amuse me like no other clowns could possibly perform.

I don't have to listen constantly to know they will get where they're going.

No. Dudeski I used to listen every damn day for years, I even was the OFFICIAL B&B ST guy...not anymore. Although I will admit when I do listen. I'm not a coward like everyone else.

Like I will listen a bit today because I would love to see BernSTINE get shat on when Trestman stays.

Quite sure I wont listen today, thus making DB 100% wrong in his statement.

Will I listen again at some point? of course I will, I listen to the station.

Listening to dan yell at Callers that Drinky knows will piss him off is funny in the sense of what is going on. Anyone who thinks Matty is kissing ass should realize the callers he is putting on the air is to upset Bernstein in this situation. Drinky knows Bernstein is on edge and is pushing his buttons via callers.

Matty is not a Bernstein fan and shouldnt be, but he basically works for him, so he does the best job he can.

You dont think there is any truth in the number of times he says 'i hate you" to Bernstein

Yeah. He hates Berntein. Part of it is the fact that they work in the same industry, are about the same age and drinky answers Bernstein's phone calls and Bernstein make 6x as much as him. So you can see why there would be natural jealousy and hate there. Also, Bernstein belittles drinky. Not saying it's not deserved. Drinky behaves like a 16 year old punk. So he should be belittled.

Here is drinky getting drunk at the B&B party and letting the world know that he hates Bernstein cuz he never gives him a pat on the back.

I cant reveal my source on this    (Well I could, but I wont)....but he said it was obvious to him Danny is feeling some pressure on this one.

Not that my guy has any real connection to Halas Hall, but he also thinks Tresty is coming back,,,but the rest of the staff is gone. He has it all coming back to Emery's last year on his deal, hiring the lame duck coach, etc.

He's not stressing about a story being wrong. No way. If Trestman comes back, he'll just say, when he reported it, the story was accurate, but this is another example of nobody running the Bears, etc.

Both hosts have been all of the board. It was just about a month ago when Boers reported that Trestman would be back next season, and Bernstein has reported all along that he doesn't know who even runs the team.

When Biggs was on their show about 10 days ago, Biggs may have accidentally got these idiots to start their new "reports" again when he said Trestman could very well be on the hot seat.

Since then, both Boers/Bernstein have gone 180 from their previous positions and now have Trestman being fired (until, of course, that changes).

Bernstein clearly doesn't have sources, just confirmations of his thoughts. Considering the guy is able to get (or so he claims) the most reliable information available that nobody else can seemingly come by, I have to wonder how he didn't know about the Cutler news. Probably because he and Terry already came to the conclusion that playing either of the backups is stupid and serve no purpose.

so drinky goes off on this long bit of saying various peoples names wrong , then says oh sorry i have a cold ! bad, went on way too long, not even remotely funny and of course the 3 of them are all cackling

drinky is so goddamn dumb, it's hard to believe he could have the balls to make fun of anyone.

drinky is great as Falstaff. He's a likable guy with some fun stories. He's intolerable as a guy who thinks he is more intelligent than his listeners.

Is there a time when he doesn't think that?

I thought it was a good/funny listen today. But I just don't understand why they say things like "why do we always get these calls?", "why do the idiots always call our show?". It's because that's how you stage your show. We all know that. Don't act like you are surprised to get dumb callers when the whole production of your show is based upon letting stupid callers get on air. That's what annoys me about them.

You hit it on the head. Whenever I listen to the show and a caller makes a legitimade point they always appear to be shouted down or their essential point is misconstrued by Bernstein. It never fails. However when the truly idiotic caller gets on they are allowed to drone on about bullshit. They are provided a lot of rope to express themselves, then you hear the drops and then either Dan ends the call or the caller does. After the call the audience is informed by Dan that the caller is an idiot. Sometimes they are referred to as an idiot while the call is taking place but it all just seems disingenuous to me. They seek out those types of callers and then ridicule the process once they get them. That really is the essence of their show these days.

market closing, squakbox about to be turned off, could turn on WSCR, but know how bad it will be and going to google music.

Doesnt mean I wont be back, just wont be for about a week or so. Something I never did before, never tuned out WSCR because it become Leary like.

Its not like I tune it out because the topic is so controversial and I am offended, but when it becomes worse than a college radio station, gotta tune out...and someone in charge should step in.

I was a big Coppock on Sports guy as a teenager. I remember how he used to take a lot of heat (particularly in the early score days) for not taking phone calls. He attempted to interject a little humor into an otherwise intellectual sports show. I understand now why he never took calls. Caller driven shoes tend to devolve into redundancy. How many times has Jay Cutler been the topic of conversation over the yrs. Once he leaves then there will be another boogeyman to target. It gets stale after awhile. You can't just continue to have Jay stinks discussions.

There was a sea change in the way talk radio is done that really started with Dahl. Coppock is a throwback to the old days when guys acted like they actually had a job and prepped a show in a professional way. Prior to Dahl, you couldn't get away with just walking into the studio, turning the mics on, and blabbing your ass off. But Steve was very successful doing it that way, and it spawned many imitators (Stern, obviously being the greatest, although ironically, his show has become very professional over time) and spilled over into the relatively new sports talk format.

The Juan from Skokie call is the one I always remember. Chet was just dumbfounded that there were Hispanics that lived in Skokie. I remember Boers being on with Chet at the time and they had one hell of a laugh it.

I once called Eddie Schwartz to discuss various aldermen races even though I was a 16 year old from Wheaton with no knowledge of politics.
