It's over. He's bad and he'll never win anything on the Bears or anywhere else. He has fatal flaws in his game (inaccuracy and terrible decision making) that stop his team from winning.

Ridiculous.

However, Jay's fatal flaw after all these years is something so basic Chris in Joliet's wife figured it out in his first year of marriage, keep control of the balls.

even my dad had to pipe up and say "BOY, THAT CLAUSSEN SURE GETS RID OF THE BALL QUICK, DOESN'T HE?"

and i was like "yeah, he kind of has to, dad"

and then reality quickly ensued in the fourth quarter even tho the return of the DUMBASS LIONS!!!!!! kinda technically gave them a chance. but it was still evident how much this team hates cutler =D

Cannot play with Cutler. Cannot win with Cutler. Cannot coach with Cutler. Can't do it.

Players don't want to play for him. I don't care how talented you think he is, they don't want him leading their team. How many times was Clausen sacked, 3 times? The TEAM wanted Cutler out and responded with protection and better defensive play. I honestly believe Cutler gets sacked 7 more times and throws 3 more INT. All those turnovers suck the life out a team. Cutler can not be the starting QB next year. Can't do it.

You need to stop listening to LoHo listening to Dan Bernstein.

He still has his arm strength. It's just that he has this hang-nail that just won't go away that is effecting his arm angle.

Actually, CSFMB had that last year.

And it doesnt matter. Arm strength is not even that important.

I keep coming back to the Jeff George comparisons.
1) Great Arm
2) Douchebag

Did Jeff George have the turnover problems? Cutler seems to excel in over George in that area.

I don't care about the cap hit and I don't care they there isn't a better option. The Bears will not win with Cutler. Clean house and move on NOW.

You left out his biggest shortcoming--that he throws to a man rather than a spot.

I hope my internet comment didn't literally make you sick!

The devil you know sort of thing. There is no future, long term QB option available. Give him one more year, under a new coach, if he's not drastically better, you cut him then and it's much less of a financial burden.

Initial reports that Bears need to send Cutler + picks for Tennessee to be interested? No thanks.

How in the hell can any rational football fan still defend Jay Cutler? He is inaccurate, has horrible mechanics, & is a shitty leader.
Other than that, he's great!

He has tried to throw to the spot a few times this year and you can see he cant do it. He doesnt throw the ball hard when he does this because he doesnt see the player there, so he lets up and the ball floats. I will assume in practice he makes the throw, but in the game he pulls a string and the ball floats.

Sounds like some private practice between QB and WRs should have been done, like Manning does because he knows there is no way during the time offered from the NFl that they can get these plays down and right

That actually isn't true. They can be virtually free and clear of salary cap obligations in year 3 if they cut him before year 2. If they cut him after year 3, it causes problems for year 3.

Trading him is even better. Only a $4 million cap hit. That is a no brainer even if you get a 7th round pick back.

I haven't heard him called a "pick and stick" qb as much this year. Like that's a real thing.

If you can get picks back, then yes absolutely move him.

I guess I ask myself, do I think there's a chance the Bears can be a playoff team next yer with Jay? Yes I do.

Do I think they can be with a replacement level QB next year? No.

One more year.

If he has elite arm strength, what is the point of throwing to a spot. Is he letting up to give the player time to make the cut and get to the spot.

Also throwing to a spot started with Martz and the hester era, and all that meant was he threw INT's as the receiver likely went the wrong way.

This years Jay Cutler excuse is Trestman.

What was it last year? Oh he got hurt again and the backup out played him

Before that The O line was the problem.

Before that, it was the receivers.

We should make a list
