Exactly. Watch the video, and it's obvious. Ansah is a huge man who was running fast, which is what made the collision what it was. Claussen should play a different sport, if he doesn't want to hit.

Claussen should have been flagged for removing his helmet.

I have seen thousands of cheap shots, and this wasn't one of them.

That doesn't make it not-dirty. Putting your head down to spear a QB is dirty, the timing doesn't matter, does it?

Fines have not been announced for this week yet, Chus.
If he gets fined, then it was dirty?

Raiola got suspended today.

Not in my mind. He dove before Claussen slid. The video is clear. He didn't target Claussen's head, he was trying to make a tackle. Sometimes, helmets make contact with one another. He may get fined, because the league protects QBs, but he shouldn't.

For a fanbase that celebrates hard hitting defense, they can't wait to whine when one of theirs gets hit.

What was the fucking bs about Trestman baiting Buck and Aikman? This are big time network announcers...they aren't doing Rockford Lighting games

A Lions fan that can't tell the difference between a clean hit and a hit to the head. I am shocked!

I didn't say their helmets didn't make contact. I said that he didn't target Claussen's head, which the video clearly shows.

Ansah was running full speed, and dove to tackle a runner in the open field. He dove before Claussen slid. It was a violent hit, and a very unfortunate one for Claussen. Every helmet to helmet hit is flagged. Most are not cheap shots.

That may be a fair point, Chus, but I'm not judging this on the intent. I'm judging the hit on the result. The NFL obviously judges by the result, as do the refs throwing out multiple flags. The result was a blow to the head. Clausen is down as soon as he slides, so Anash didn't have to try to make a tackle.

And I already conceded that a helmet to helmet should result in a penalty. I don't like it, but those are the rules.

Ansah didn't have to try to make a tackle? So, Ansah is supposed to just assume that Claussen is going to slide in the next half of a second? i saw Kaepernick run for 90 yds the other day. Were the Chargers not trying to tackle him?

Why are you scratching your head? Ansah tried to tackle an open field runner. Jimmy wasn't sliding when Ansah dove.

The head scratching part is where Ansah shouldn't try to make a tackle.

Maybe if Clausen was a better QB he'd have known to slide sooner.
But he's not very good so...

So I did hear a bit of the Dr. Death press conference. I'm usually fine with Dan and Terry catcalling, especially when it's a boob like Trestman. But WTF was Dan wailing about when saying 'winning this game doesn't matter?!?', as if any coach would admit they should lose for the draft pick?

Agreed! Plus who is going to make the pick ???? Emery?? No Coaches or GM's will go on their show ,because they are not invited ...Bernsie would never take on someone phone to phone...he does it behind the curtain like the bitch he is!

Except for Raiders how many times do NFL coaches get fired in season? They call it black monday for a reason at the end of the season. Dan needs to stop thinking the NFL is some six sigma corp.
