Word was that HBO owned the rights to Infinite Jest back in the day. Wonder if they still own the rights to

Although the idea for a The Wire prequel with Avon and Stringer battling for the towers (against Samuel L. Jackson) would be awesome.

I laughed at Carolla charging for a podcast. Especially one called Take a knee where he just tells everyone that a motor is more important than intelligence for an hour.


Now he has Rza on episode 5. Dick.

Even though I didn't care for the Sopranos that is the obvious answer. Movie starts after fade to black and you get to see what happened.


Deadwood also an obvious answer because the movie was actually promised at some point, but I personally thought the final season sucked and have no interest in seeing a movie.

The Wire is fragmented, too many seperate stories, great show, but not a movie, too many small unrelated stories.

Yes, you could make some drug kingpin connecting it all, but I think DMX is still in jail and it is a law DMX play the drug kingpin in all such movies.

I think that show scarred me for life. As a kid you would watch it in the hopes of some jerkoff material emerging only to realize after 20 minutes you've been sitting there holding your pud watching fat 60 year olds stick cucumbers up their crusty nether regions.

Actually that was/might still be in the works. I read somewhere about a prequel with Johnny Boy and young Junior. That'd be pretty cool, but that era of the mob has been covered pretty well already.
