They are putting together a very nice pre conference season. In the past, they would win these games but it would be close against weak sister programs. This year, they are taking it to the teams they need. They have a name win. They also have an easier conference.

I'll predict it right here, De Paul makes the NCAA tournament this year.

When is the new gym supposed to open? I literally couldn't even begin to care one ounce about DePaul basketball.

Its pathetic how bad this program is. I really want to root for them as they were my favorite team growing up. I would love to see the list of politically connected people making millions off of this terrible stadium.

The great hope for them is the rest of that conference gets worse.

Maybe they can find another 67 year old coach and get hm a 7 year deal to rebuild a program.

The annual Loyola looks good pre-conference, then loses all the rest of their games thread

2-0 in conference.

De Paul isn't back but they are better. I would really like to see them keep this sophomore class together for four years.

3-0 in Big East for the first time ever.

I get it, it's not really the "Big East" - but there were a lot of years DePaul would not have been 3-0 in any conference in the country.

De Paul and Loyola are both taking to their new conferences better than expected

I have lost all interest in this team. Are they any good at all? If so, why.

I was rooting for them during the Pat Kennedy and Richardson/Simmons/Williams/Hunter years. That's about it.

They have a legitimately good sophomore group and have an Illini transfer who can score.

They would have to go on a pretty big run to make the tournament as they are already sitting on 8 losses.

Is this success more attributable to a reduced Big East or to a De Paul ascension?

Feel like every year they get a W over SETON HALL and the Talk starts!

17-2 Villanova is a Game behind the 11-9 Demons in Conference play!

They did come within 6 of G Twon, while G twon DESTROYED NOVA

Myke Henry? I always liked him. Disappointed he transferred.

the truth is, they are looking like one of those emerging teams now, not great yet but there is something there. Thanks Emmanuel and Obama

Just broke a 51 (!) game losing streak to ranked opponents.

I remember a few years ago when they won their opening round game in the Big East Tournament, and Zack screamed and called it the "Miracle in Manhattan".

I was listening to the game for a couple of minutes when I got home. Zach said De Paul is absolutely dominating the game. I figured it was late second half. It was the first ten minutes and De Paul then proceeded to go from 10 points up to 3 in something like 1 minute

Sitting at 12-12 and 6-5 in conference but this resurgence may be due to scheduling as their RPI is 125.

Still, De Paul with an above .500 record is going to be playing some kind of postseason basketball, which is light years ahead of previous years.
