While I put my Les Paul down for the night to ascend from the dungeon in my rural palatial estate, I am reminded that, oh yeah, they're back.

The supply of magic dust that Paddy Roy sneezed over the Avs last season to get them back into the playoffs last ran out somewhere in round 1. IF THE SEASON ENDED TODAY, they would be out with a .500 record and 8 OTLs. Not good.

Not gonna get into the stats CH-style, or at all, so I say the Hawk bounce back from their most craptacular effort of the season to win 6-3. Roy will pull the goaltender with 7 minutes left.

I guess I should have expected more of a lackluster effort after the 3-day break and the long day today, so we'll give them that. It's just that they were giving up way too many scoring chances early, and the two power plays were vomit-inducing. The tying goal seemed to spark the Hawks a bit, and the last minute of the period was as good as they have played so far.
