Two football names with longtime relationships with the McCaskey family are Bill Polian and Mike Holmgren. #Illtakeeither

Good. George ain't stupid.

This.

More and fucking more of this. Tho I don't like Holmgren in all honesty.

Polian, Wolf or Parcells on the other hand..

Please new born baby Jesus make this happen

So when you think your boss does something silly, you try to undermine him and don't do your job? I doubt it if you are employed.
It is a coaches job to get people to follow him.

It is my job to follow my boss because I am replaceable.

Right. About 90% of players are totally replaceable. And I believe the most effective way of motivating NFL players is through fear and control.

Trestman failed at that and never got respect.

I'm not sure what your point is here. No one bought in outside of Cutler and Marshall, and neither of them truly respected him but he basically gave them whatever they wanted.

Is it confirmed that Tucker, Kromer, and Joe D are out too?

My point is: Trestman and Emery seemed like nice guys (I don't know for sure). Nice guys like Mr Rogers are not going to be successful in the NFL.

For all of Lovie's faults, he kept his player's motivated and never lost the locker room. I don't think he really used fear and control to accomplish that.

It wasn't how nice he was though. It was how stupid he was. Honestly, the things he tried were just dumb. The players had to be openly laughing at the things he was doing. Tony Dungy was a really nice guy too(unless you were gay) but he didn't treat players like they were on the first day of kindergarten.

Emery's Legacy:
-Oldest Team in the League
-Most guranteed future $ of any team in the league
-Missing out on Arians
-Not franchsing Jay
-Marshall's Contract

The Good?
-Alshon, Bostic, Fuller, Sutton, Ferguson

Seems to be an above average scout, but horrible at the financial aspect of it. As others have mentioned, no concept of pick value in the draft etc.

supposedly Phillips has had his duties curtailed to only non-football operations.

I will repeat my desire for personell that I held before Emery was hired: find me a younger guy from one of the gold standard organizations, someone who has learned from the best...Steeler, Giants, etc.

A lot of coaches have done it. Trestman just wasn't a good leader. Jauron and Lovie did it and the players loved and fought for them.

The omerta of Lovie still lingers in the locker room. They need to eradicate anybody who ever played for the guy.

Talk to people in the Patriots and Ravens front office. Polian doesn't want to be a GM anymore and Holmgren sucks.

Lovie took over for Jauron and didn't have an issue. Guys like Urlacher loved Jauron and somehow Lovie got him to respect and buy into his system.

I'm not arguing this. Lovie was an OK coach. Had mind control over the team. They played hard for him. He was better than Trestman.

My point was both of them were really nice guys. He'll Lovie didn't curse but both were respected by the players.

Mike Lombardi is currently working in the Patriots front office. I heard somebody around here likes that guy.
