I should add Seattle front office to that list too. Put it at the top.

I agree. It's no coincidence that Green Bay's drafts have been mediocre since Schneider left for his current position with the Seahawks.

So did I hear this straight that Emery has been fired, but he's holding a press conference?

Though Jim Harbaugh is expected to land at Michigan, NFL teams such as Bears, Jets, Raiders continue making overtures to change his mind.

They are going to pursue a coach without having a GM in place?

He and Kromer have been retained as George McCaskey's butlers.

Does Schefter (or anyone) believe the Bears would spend $50m+ for Harbaugh? (Plus, as TM pointed out, they have no GM!)

Jim is the only guy who is worth doing this for. If they sign any other coach without a GM, I'll be pissed.

I better never see Phillips in anything involving a football activity.

why is emery speaking to media at 11:30am? Are they retaining him in some capacity? the two reasons he should be fired was he hired trestman and his drafting has been pretty terrible outside of alshon and long.... I hope he isn't being retained as a scouting director or something stupid like that, would be a bad start to the gm/team president search

Don't forget about wasting a draft pick on a punter. This is even worse when you figure they had Tress Way, one of the better punters in the NFC, in camp and let him walk.

oh wow... well we'll have to ask the people who REALLY make the decision/s for the older/wiser/more-alpha HAR-BOW: his kids.

i mean seriously guys, his kids were on the cusp of growing up with dad only making a few million a year in san francisco.... and while many of us on the board CAN indeed find some utility in not wanting to raise your kids in that literally-cocksucking-liberal-hellhole, that's besides the point.

you can't raise a family in san francisco on only 3-4mil/yr. not when your progenies are the future of american-football because as it's been proven HAR-BOW DNA is centrifugal to success in football. and those kids are the chosen ones..... so thank god they'll be able to grow up in america's heartland with daddy making a barely-living-wage where he doesn't have to deal with awful GMs who handed him a team with the roster already locked and loaded and ready to go because this isn't pop fucking warner we're talking about... THIS IS JIM HARBAUGH. the man's man. the man who puts the A in Alpha Male. you present him with a fully loaded situation so he can come in, succeed, take all the credit, and throw you under the bus when he decides to walk for 8mil/yr at michigan.

so yeah NFL, try as you might but you're paupers in a jewelry store. and this concept that there's some "football czar" there in charge of players and not OUR LORD AND SAVIOUR JIM HARBAUGH? preposterous! poppycock! THIS MAN HAS LIVED IN THE SAME HOME WITH THE SAME KIDS/FAMILY/WIFE FROM STANFORD TO SAN FRAN. FAMILY MATTERS TO JIM HARBAUGH. DON'T YOU SEE HIS KIDS @ THE PODIUM?!?!?! FAMILY FIRST! NO LESS THAN $2MIL/YR PER KID! A MAN'S GOTTA FEED HIS FAMILY!

my name is snockalpiss and i'm clearly on drugs, because no good quality self-respecting god-fearing man in his right mind can dislike the magnanimous glory that is JIM HARBOW. where he leads i follow. that is unless i put my hands on a woman then i'm off the team unless the player is kind of really important. and stuff.

YES!

This disastrous season served a purpose and will be remembered as the season that forced the Bears to realize they cant hire experiments. This year was a great year for the future of the Bears organization

SH I would hope that they learned a lesson, but I don't think we can say it was a "great" year for their future.
