P.S.

Breaking Bad is getting way too much love. I understand it's still fresh in people's minds but time needs to pass before it finds its true place in the television pantheon. It's a nice series with a legendary role and performance by Cranston. I never enjoyed the ensemble like I did with The Wire or The Sopranos. That's where it falls short in any discussion of best show ever. Best individual performance? Maybe. Gandolfini is right up there with Cranston.

Yes I agree. I loved BB but way over loved.

It's pretty damned irresponsible of you to not have seen it

You have HBO. Just watch it.

I'll have to see if I have it On Demand. I watched part of the first season on DVD but the place I
get movies from sometimes didn't have the other seasons. I should have HBO Go but I don't know
how that works. I don't have a tablet either.

What's your cable?

Its on demand on my cable. Also, the whole series is being rerun on weeknights on one of the HBO's, you can maybe do it that way

I have Time Warner

edit -- checked my On Demand options and can't get it on my tv cable service. I think the only way I could
get this would be on HBO GO. Disappointing

Been watching a lot of this lately. Started it on Friday and I will be watching the season 1 finale tonight
at some point. Really enjoy it thus far. HBO GO is the bomb.

I'd have to say one of my favorite moments thus far was D explaining to the other
guys how to play chess. Just really good writing there.

Watched the finale and season 1 was about as good as you can do with a series in my opinion.
I am about 3 episodes into season 2 and so far it is just ok. Obviously I don't like that the group
got broken up but it appears they will be brought back together in some way and glad that they
are following all the stories. Simon sure loves large casts ( did the same thing in Treme ).

Season 2 divides Wire fans. I think it's awesome.

All Ill say is it all comes together

Oh and as far as Season 1 being as good as it gets. Id say 90% of fans call Season 3 or 4 the best one.

Enjoy

I have a hard time remembering what happens in which season exactly. I think I'll do a rewatch when they release the HD versions here in the next month.

But, I prefer the events of seasons 3/4 to 1, even though 1 is great.

I didn't like the basics of the season 2 storyline on my first viewing.

Although, as I'm doing a rewatch of Breaking Bad, I'm discovering you forget how good certain things are in earlier seasons when a series ends so strongly. BB seasons 1&2 were always my least favorite but, upon rewatch, I forgot how great some of those episodes were. I suspect The Wire is similar. Although, I still hate Wire Season 5.

Season 2 was great. If you put aside the missing of certain characters from season 1 and just judge it on it's own....its awesome.

I watched The Wire twice. Season 3 is the best, imo

I have to say season 2 was really underrated. I think season 1 or 4 was the best. I tend to lean towards 4. The last season was shit for the most part.

I'm 5 episodes into season 4. Loved season one, season two was pretty weak, and season 3 was pretty good with
a pretty surprising ending. I'll have some time over New Years to possibly knock out the rest of the series.

Marathon on HBO Signature right now. Watched the end of season 3 last night. The second to last episode was the best one of the series for me.

Yeah that was the surprise I really wasn't expecting. It was a great episode.

Started watching it when all the seasons were replayed this weekend. Had to switch it over to record in SD instead of HD as it takes up way too much space on the DVR in HD. Gotta save room for all the shitty Disney shows we recorded.

3 episodes in and I like it so far. Not blown away by it but I do enjoy it. 60 episodes is going to take me awhile though.

You have an ancient DVR box?

I don't know what size the X1 is, but that thing fits everything. I don't think I've ever seen it even 1/3 full, and I DVR a fair amount of stuff. And delete most of it before I watch it, but there it is.

I have Uverse as my cable company/DVR box.

They have alot of space but I dont think it's that bad that I can't record 60 1hour long shows in HD.

Finished the series New Years Eve. It was very well done overall.

I felt the same way I did in Treme.... wanting more. I like how they wrapped this
up better than Treme though.
