Why shouldn't people celebrate an asshole getting punished for being an asshole? Schadenfreude rules.

Agreed, great player but for whatever reason his anger gets the best of him.

Suh is such a waste. He's actually a very intelligent and charitable guys according to people in the know.

Its like he loses the ability to think when he crosses the white lines

Agree. dont think he really cares about football so much. Its his job and he shows up to work, then doesnt care.

Yes it does. It shows the random and arbitrary manner, by which the NFL disciplines players.

Is it arbitrary? Yes. Should Ray Rice never play another NFL game? yes. Is the Suh punishment warranted? Yes.

Ray Rice should be able to play again.

Deacon Jones? Who cares. Guys also used to play this game with leather helmets, and goalies used to play hockey with no face masks. Should the pro games not evolve to keep players and fans safe?

In the past three weeks you have defended a guy who took a hit a quarterback in the head, and another guy who stepped on a quarterback. We're are the ones crying about it, yet those guys have gotten fined and suspended. Its absurd to defend those guys. Absolutely absurd.

I notice you didn't say anything about the bullshit facemask/roughing the passer call which allowed the Lions to get a fresh set of downs and score a TD. That was perfectly fine, but launching into Jimmy Claussen was just us Bears fans "crying"

Frank, you said Ray Rice's punishment has nothing to do with this suspension, but you brought up some hypothetical situation about vitamins?

On the play to which you are referring, the Packer defender hit Stafford in the head with his arm. Hit the QB in the head, you get flagged fifteen yards. In my world that wouldn't get flagged, but that is what the rule states. That's an easy call. I never called the guy dirty, or looked for a suspension. You have presented yet another horribly flawed analogy.

You are obviously happy that he is suspended. I think it was ridiculous to suspend him. We disagree. What else is there to say?

They are neanderthals, modern day gladiators, who sacrifice their bodies for our enjoyment. Now, we celebrate the suspension of a guy who is too rough. Just put flags on their hips, and get it over with.

Nobody is celebrating. People are saying he deserves the suspension. I'm not celebrating because I don't like the Cowboys, and Suh not being in the game gives the Cowboys a much better chance to win with Murray running the ball.

Give them flags and get it over with? Suh has been flagged many, many times before. He's been kicked out of a game before. It clearly has not worked with him. Its beyond a guy just being rough. Its a guy intentionally trying to hurt people. One of these days he's going to, and then is when it will be ridiculous.

Yes that was a penalty on dumb ass Brad Jones by the letter of the law today.

I don't know anybody with "we may be 2-14, but you knew you were in a game when you played us" mentality. I think we'd all be pretty pissed if the Bears were 2-14. I do like feeling they are in games though.

It's not ticky tack. He's a dirty player with a long history of being an asswipe. If he's your asswipe, good for you, I don't know how you root for him. I think it's goofy to act as if he is some poor innocent babe in the woods type just playing football how it should be played. Bigfan is right too in that you can't do it to somebody like Rodgers.

I don't know what Deacon Jones has to do with any of this.

I have heard people say that for thirty years. Some of them host radio shows after Bears games.

There are a lot of asswipes in the league. These rosters aren't comprised of choir boys. You should probably stop rooting for the Bears.

Just to stick up for Doug, OB and any other meatballs, you can "feel it the next day" from hard but legal football hits

Which included clotheslines, and other head shots, which were for worse than anything Suh did yesterday.

There is no way to make this game safer. There just isn't. Apparently, the NFL's "safety campaign" is starting to condition people.

Where is the outrage at the head shot A.J. Green received yesterday? Bears fans just hate Suh because he has been kicking their asses.

Boo hoo, the NFL won't let people with a history of being dirty douchebags step on the MVP's injured leg on purpose when he's lying on the ground during "America's Game of the Week" and not suspend him. Might as well activate the slippery slope and claim everybody should just wear ballerina tutus and flags around their waists.

I disagree, Chus. I love Suh. I followed him in college. He has a problem with this kind of thing.

And he's smart enough to play under the current rules (no matter how ridiculous they may seem)

Regarding A.J. Green, I would suggest most Bears fans havent even seen that hit and would say it was dirty if they did.

I could root for Suh and still realize he is a dirty player and a cheap shot artist. You cannot seem do do that. Albert Belle was an asshole, but I still cheered for him while he was in a Sox uniform.

AJ Green hit;
http://thebiglead.com/2014/12/28/a-j-gr ... ey-fumble/

I had not seen it until now. Another safety looking to make a big hit instead of a tackle. Thats a bullshit play, and there should be no place for it in the NFL. Chris Conte nearly killed himself doing crap like this.

Reread your posts defending dirty players like Suh, and Raiola (and to a lesser extent, Ansah) then you can say you have heard it all. Your thinking is clearly clouded with silver and blue.

I suppose you are OK with Reggie Nelson taking out somebody's knee too.

I never defended Raiola. When you get to the point that you have to make things up to further your point, it might be time to stop talking. You just admitted rooting for Albert Belle, and you are accusing me of being blind? You said I can't compare Rice's suspension to Suh's, but you brought up a hypothetical situation regarding vitamins?

Frank Coztansa wrote:

Do you think he did it on purpose? I don't. You are championing the cause of a safer NFL, but you have a problem with a DB going low to make a tackle? If the defenders can't hit high or low, how are they supposed to tackle?
