I am not really impressed by this press conference!

Yeah, at least they understand they don't know anything about hiring football people.

Which means that they also know they are unqualified to evaluate the advice of the football people who will help them hire the football people who will run their football organization.

They should probably hire a consultant to consult with them on what their first consultant thinks.

alternate suggestions? Should they buy a football for dummies program so they can evaluate the advice of the football people who will hire the football people?

How do you not regret hiring a coach who lost 19 games in two years, who went 3-5 in one second half of a season and 2-6 in the other? That's completely regrettable.

This is the problem with the McCaskeys. They have failed in almost every possible way and are now revisiting their old failures. This hiring process sounds a lot like the search that brought Jerry Angelo to town. Yippee!

Basically both George and Ted saying if the meeting happened, they weren't there. Meaning it didn't happen. The laughs were like Theo at Gordon Wittenmeyer.

A question was asked about the 'meeting in Green Bay' that Bernstein reported on*. George and Ted both gave flip answers about it never happening, LOLs were had.

*(among others, I think. But funnier this way)

So, one of Dan's major takeaways from the conference was that they overused the word "foreclose" when they meant "preclude".

Oh boy, let us hope that BernSTINE doesn't see that one!

Also, BernSTINE guessing right (I guess) on this whole non-event is going to be one of the worst things to happen to the Score in a long, long time.

Hi, guys! Sorry I'm late; I was driving my wife to the airport. I know we're all wrapped up in this press conference (and its possible ranking among The Most Important Press Conferences In Bears History), but I'd like to go back and ad my two cents to this Ryan Grigson thing.

Between Spiegel and Leery and Bernstein, Score personalities say a lot of dumb shit. But Hub earnestly suggesting that an NFL GM would willingly help another NFL team conduct its GM search is without question the most profoundly, deeply, self-evidently wrong thing I have ever heard in my life (and it came just a few minutes after Bernstein's claim that Jim Phillips is a "brilliant sports executive," so that's really saying something!).

I won't insult us all by belaboring exactly why this idea is so stupid; I'll just say that Hub apparently believes that Grigson is such a talented GM that he's qualified to hire his counterparts for other organizations. To that, I say: Ryan Grigson traded a first-round pick for Trent Richardson. Ryan Grigson traded a first-round pick for Trent Richardson. Ryan Grigson traded a first-round pick for Trent Richardson. Sorry to repeat myself, but it'll help you remember.

They should just hire Tim Robbins or Joel Osteen to organize and motivate the entire organization.

What the fuck has Ted Phillips done to engender this kind of loyalty and access? Fuck, you would think the guy is part of the family

Hub stating that the Lambeau meeting story, as reported by Wayne Larrivee on WTMJ, wasn't the Score's. "It wasn't our story." It wasn't our station, but it was on our station. So close, Hub, soooooooooo close.

How does Hub not fall down elevator shafts or get hit by a car, like, every day?

Bernsie has no credibility at all......reporters have the right not to reveal their sources. Especially if they are made up
