Between Dan blaming his imaginary radio on her and that awful set-up-to-fail stint she had on the midday shift, would anyone blame Peggy if she broke into Mitch's office and took a dump on his desk?

If one only glances at the picture, it kinda looks like Jack is plugged into The Matrix. I don't want to know what the brown pill does.

I used to have such fond childhood memories of Jack Brickhouse before I found this place....

I know the Brickhouse story, but where did it come from? Is it true? Was this known at the time? WTF??

I actually never knew the Brickhouse story until I started posting here, though I did once hear a similar story about Jimmy Valiant and the Rock 'N' Roll Express.

Back in the early 1990's when Scorehead was climbing the corporate ladder, I spent a lot off time at Ridgemoor Country Club in Chicago. Ridgemoor was founded in 1905 & is full of old money. I once saw a guy win a brand new Lexus with a hole in one on the 8th hole at the annual Jaberwalk member-guest outing. I also once played with a guy who broke a huge pane of glass on the clubhouse with his tee shot on the par 3 18th. Anywho...Jack Brickhouse & Irv Kupcinet were longtime members here. I would show up in the morning for a round of Golf & Jack would be in the restaurant drinking highballs or Manhattans. I never saw him without 1 or 2 drinks in front of him, regardless of the time of day. The story of Jacks penchant to have young ladies pee & poo on him were well known. As I remember it, a couple of young working girls who Jack hired let the cat out of the bag about Jack liking #1 & #2.

you know during my holiday season i got shat on when i'd tell the imported-from-colorado family about those times i hung out with rappers who made [this] track or did that this show and oh hey here's an autographed shirt by a wizard who happens to masquerade as an electronic musician. up in milwaukee of the second night of the "acid weekender" in july of 2011 it was my honor and privilege to keep the man's beer properly refreshed as he did an hour on the CD decks (as the proper live show with all of the gear and, you know, live electronic music was the night before at an art gallery in chicago) and i held down the merch table for him so he could go have a cigarette or do his thing while the other performances were going on. go figure that months later when i asked him if he knew anywhere i could still find a copy of the hardcore esplanade 12" and he turned around and was willing to sell me one for 5 quid. top bloke! Anywho... Jack Brickhouse & Irv Kupcunet were longtime members at Scorehead's secret society. He would show up in the morning for a round of Golf & Blow & Jack would be in the restaurant drinking the blood of virgin Children. He never saw him without 1 or 2 eight year olds in front of him, regardless of the time of day. The story of Jacks penchant to have the young ladies menstruate @ douche themselves on him were well known. As he remembers it, a couple of "young working girls" who Jack hired let the cat out of the bag about Jack motherfucking Brickhouse looking into the mirror of his hotel rooms all bloody saying "sweet lord satan I have earned my red wings but so i can fly to you and together we can rule the universe!"

of course that relationship didn't last and as a final parting gift brickhouse got stuck with the cubs for the rest of his life. he didn't even live to see the party of the century, the poor old fool!

No it isn't. It's full of "new monied, swarthy, southern Europeans from the west side"

Jack was also a notorious skinflint (Kup as well) who got a caddy fired for throwing the $.25 tip he gave back at him

Yeah, that whole "nice guy" thing was an act. Brickhouse was a miserable prick. In his later years he used to come into Chicago Joe's for dinner a lot. (I'm not sure why. The food is terrible.) One of my friends was trying to bag this Filipina bartender, so I drank with him there quite a bit. I saw Jack pitch a fit over some perceived slight on more than one occasion. He whined like a bitch.

I can't blame this place for hearing the JB story. My old boss had a friend who was a lawyer. He said the cops raided a house of ill repute and found Jack getting dumped on.

I thought he was full of it until I heard B&B throwing constant hints on their show.
