Hawks never really showed up in earnest. The second period was their best, but even then, they never really took the game over, obviously. I hate that it had to be that whiny Caller Bob Brouwer who scored, too, and on a power play after the Hawks were gifted chance after change and did so little.

Huge disappointment. Hope they get over it quickly and beat Dallas on Sunday.

Three straight losses to the Capitals is kind of weird. Granted, the first of three was a game at the end of the year when we were playing out the string trying not to get anyone else hurt, but both games this year were pretty sorry losses.

I generally don't wring my hands over the Hawks' power play percentage because they're always going to get so many more changes than most teams, but not scoring on a two-man advantage of substantial length is inexcusable.

BIL called me after game and we talked about PP crap. We decided that we should send Carcillo out as soon as we get a PP so we can play 4 on 4.

Duncan Keith is one of the best defensemen in the league if not the best but he's lukewarm death on a power play.

Q dropped the "out for a bit" phrase of doom regarding Versteeg. Looks like Sharpy goes back to the second line.

Well, there goes the Versteeg-Richards-Kane line that was humming so well. As long as he's back for the playoffs, I guess.

Someone needs to disabuse the Hawks of this idea that Teravainen has to play center. He's too small to play center! I'd like to see him get a look on the wing. I'd like to see Danault come up too. For the time being, they'll probably put Nordstrom back in and move Sharp to #2L, but I'm still not crazy about Nordstrom.

That's not NHL-quality goaltending that Trip And Fall Against is giving us here.

I agree. He's been shit lately. Fucker was playing the best goalie he ever has and now this. Hope that fucking concert was worth it douche.

Versteeg now on LTIR. Sucks after the season he was having.

Eh, it's a procedural cap move. LTIR is a minimum of 24 calendar days and it will be retroactive back to January 1 I do believe.
