When do you ever hear a player break bad on a current teammate?

I assumed one of the departed or known to be on the way out after last game.

Bernsie just said something that has had me puzzled for a while now. Well to do people that live in Chicago and CPS schools. While I know his are sure to be in a charter/magnet/special system but why? Is there some sort of social statement or rich guy status to this? If I make 500k or whatever he does for a while my kids got to top private. Help me out here.

In order to get into a special CPS school I am sure it is costing you something somehow someway anyway right?

I can't really decipher your post. Why does Dan send his kids to CPS magnet schools? Because they're elite schools. And where else would he send them? Ignatius?

Also, they're just elementary/middle school age, right? Maybe the Lab School is still in their future.

I was guessing there is some high end private schools in Chicago I would choose. I was not thinking the local catholic parish school. Maybe I am not understanding how good the CPS magnets are versus a private school other rich people send kids to.

North Side Prep, Payton Prep, and Whitney Young are supposed to be on par with New Trier, if not superior, though I don't claim to be an expert on the vagaries of elite Chicagoland public education. While neighborhood schools are bad, the best of the CPS magnets are supposed to be among the very best in the state.

I think right now Dan has his kids in a neighborhood school that segregates the gifted kids, so kind of in between magnet and gen-pop.

There are.

Latin and Francis Parker are both near to where Dan lives. The British School isn't that far either.

That is what I meant Seacrest. If I had his and wife's cash I would not send to equivalent of New Trier but equivalent of Sidwell Friends in DC. So CH that was the basis for my initial question about if there is some new social thing I do not know about that says send your kids to CPS but keep them away from a normal CPS school.

Do they have Sidwell Friends money, though? That's for serious movers and shakers. As dolphin has pointed out many times, they live in a patch of Deerfield exported to North Center.

Am I the only one who caught Dan trying to explain mesh points to his kid in Madden?

No I caught Dan being a pud for caring that his kid beats his ass.

And there's no point in paying the giant tuition if the kid can get into one of the top selective enrollment public schools, which I'm sure his kids will be able to do. At worst they should make Lane.

My aunt and uncle tried staying in the city with my cousin but he flunked all the tests to get into the magnet school. He's an anti social, ridiculously shy, little Jewish kid staring down the barrel of LP.

Best of luck at Stevenson, cousin of America.

If you add up the boxed wine that's poured into cheap looking bottles and the Non-black wedding business....I'm pretty sure they could afford any school they want for Joffrey and the forgotten daughter.

CPS on the grade school level is really neighborhood to neighborhood. The CPS grade schools in my area perform pretty favorably in comparison to even the magnets. However the magnets, gifted, classicals, etc. offer programs not offered at even the high performing neighborhood schools. Some offer accelerated music programs, some offer special language, some are designed to offer "the classics" (the type of curriculum you see for a bachelor of arts).

High schools are a little different. I think there has been a concerted effort by various mayors to cleave off the brightest and insulate them while effectively letting everyone else swim on their own. Some of the other high schools have an accelerated track, like a school within a school but it seems to me that the general high schools only do well individually out of luck and not out of planning.

Dan lives in an area that has a hybrid school that is magnet but requires a certain percentage to be from the neighborhood.

It would cost them $600-700K a year to send two kids to Sidwell.

I'm not sure what Latin and Parker cost but I'm sure it is far less than that.

Marshall did it to Cutler this year.

I should have said a normal person, not a lunatic like Marshall.
