Why are you looking for a fight here? A goalpost has always been taken as having beaten the goalie if not for hitting metal. Of course, you could say that for any shot on goal (a goal if not for hitting the goalie), but he's not pulling anything out of his ass on this one.

Here's what I think. If Crawford didn't get beat, it's not a goal. If he does get beat it's not a goal. If it was a shot on goal, and had the possibility of going in, Crawford might not have been beat. Perhaps it hit the post because he was in position to stop it had it not been wide of the goal.
Whatever. It wasn't a goal, it wasn't a save by a goal post and it wasn't a shot on goal.

That first goal wasn't on Crow. Oduya got clowned in between the circles and Crow made the initial stop.
The second goal was essentially a breakaway that Oduya gave the Avs.
I rarely blame the goalie on breakaways.
