If you were planning on spending a July day watching the Fire play a Steven Gerreard-led L.A. Galaxy side at Toyota Park, you will be disappointed.

The Fire play the Galaxy in Los Angeles on March 6th. It is the only time the Fire and Galaxy meet.

Also the Fire will play the Frank Lampard-less NYFC in April and May.

It's a pretty unimpressive home schedule for the Fire. Looks like another year I'm staying away from Toyota Park.

Also, the Fire signed some Brazilian named Guily De Prado. Never heard of him and I guess he played for Southampton FC.

If you're going to regular season Fire games to see washed up Europeans you're doing it wrong. The summer friendly cash-in season is when real futbol fans go. My wife mysteriously enjoyed a Fire game more than any other outdoor sporting event we've been to, so I think we'll drag the 2 year old with this year.

I did take my wife to see the Fire for our anniversary last year. She had fun (although it was a little cold since our anniversary is in April)

Might have to take the wife in May or June when it is warm.

My 6 yr old son has succumbed to the scourge that is Soccer so I may have to go. Years ago I went to a game at Soldiers Field because that Chicago band with like 20 members was playing after. During the game, however, some official team ethnic guy on the field was ringing a cow bell or some sort of percussive device the whole game and it was eating away at my brain. Is that still a thing? Thanks in advance. Best Regards, DannyB

I'd rather go just a few blocks south to Polecatz. There would be more scoring going on.

I've been to a few Fire games. The soccer itself is a little dull, but you can actually tailgate there, which is a nice change of pace compared to most Chicago sports.

You can tailgate at Polekatz, too......so I've been told.

Doesn't look like anyone will see Lampard in an MLS game anytime soon.
