Continuing the discussion from the other thread, I'm wondering who you guys think are the biggest celebrities in the music business? That's a better representation of what I meant, but I stated it poorly.

I would say in no particular order

Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Jay Z, Kanye, Beyonce, Dr Dre, Dave Grohl, Paul McCartney (still)

There's probably a subsection of artists so popular with kids like Bieber and One Direction


As I said I kind of think "Who would Fallon or Kimmel kill to get on the show ?"

Maybe I'm way off. I think from the music business, that would be the list (I'm probably forgetting an obvious one.

Some might say U2's actual recorded output isn't that important anymore, but Bono and his opinions are still very relevant,
considering people still ask him for them and print them all the time. He's still a MAJOR celebrity, and still a MAJOR rock star.
That would be the obvious one.

That's a pretty good list, though I gotta think some more country arrtists would be on that list.

Underwood? Paisley? Church? Not really my genre, but those names come to mind.

Dre may fall off of that list, IMO, if we aren't counting headphone sales. Bono is probably more of a celebrity than he is.
Hell Jack White and Kendrick may be bigger than him musically right now too.

I would guess RPB is using the celebrity in terms of fame.
There are plenty of Vine, YouTube, and instragram celebrities,
but they do they really sell anything or make tons of money.
In terms of influence, his list was pretty spot on, but he forgot Bono.
That Blake Shelton guy is pretty fucking famous too, but he's got all the three
requsites too.
You could probably add Simon Cowell to the list too, though he's not a musician.

Honestly, I think I've only heard one Ed Sheeran song, when he was on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
It was fine, I kinda liked the looping thing he was doing with the guitar.
I think I saw an Instagram pic of him outside Wembley Stadium with his X album cover and his name
across the whole facade. I don't know if he played there, but it seems he's blowing up big time.

Adam Levine seems to pretty much shit Gold.
For some reason, people see to still care about the Ozzy / Sharon Osbourne fraud.
