I actually got out of going to that show back in August. I had an important work thing the next morning, and I had to prep for it all weekend. My wife couldn't even find anyone to go to the show with her...

That's the weakest lineup yet for Coachella.

My guess is majority attendees are concerned whether good EDM acts are booked and everything else is a bonus curiousity.

How is Circa Survive not headlining?

Or Milky Chance. Or Weeknd.

I just gave it a more thorough looksie...

I think I agree with Styles. This is...not good.
Coachella often can give clues for the rest of the summer festivals.....I got bad feelings about Pitchfork this year.

Hopefully Ride will be on the webcasts, other than that, far more filler than killer.

Absolute garbage, and further eveidence the festival culture is no longer about rebellion or innovation-- simply about how many heads they can draw out.

If you aren't 25 and looking for Molly, no reason to even consider going here.

i don't think you have to worry about AC/DC, Jack White or Drake being at Pitchfork this year
i'd have to think harder but off the top of my head the only people i can think of who played both last year were Nuetral Milk Hotel and Beck

if you want clues to the rest of the 100+ ubiquitous fests, check out the Governors Ball lineup which was just released
guarantee 95% of fests will have : Tame Impala, Decemberists, Hozier, Florence & The Machine, St. Vincent, War On Drugs, Ryan Adams, Noel Gallagher's Latest Shit Band, Death From Above 1979

Yeah I guess i had that backwards. Last year's coachella had many acts from 2013 Pitchfork. Make no mistake, I'm still going to Pitchfork for 3 days this summer, pretty much no matter who is there.

didn't they put early bird tix on sale around xmas last year ? surprised they didn't do that

i have to think they're going to come up with something moderately special seeing as it's their 10th anniversary
but following their 'formula' of having an older established act play Friday, a reunion play Saturday and a rap/r&b artist on Sunday, i think you're going to get Sleater-Kinney for sure on Saturday.
Friday i am thinking they get Animal Collective to do a one-off
Sunday is Death Grips ha

I think Panda Bear is going to be there for sure, but he might get that Saturday spot. Not sure he fits the Bjork/Beck Friday night mold from the past few years.

Death Grips was great last year.

I have a feeling that a Brownstein/Armison & Sleater-Kinney SNL episode may be coming up this year.
IF Sleater-Kinney is "good enough" as a musical guest.

Man, that would be awesome.

It would be one of the great upsets of all time if Run the Jewels doesn't play Pitchfork this year.

they played in 2013, so i doubt it. plus they've gotten bigger than that, weren't they at Lollapalooza last year ?

I just recently downloaded both albums after they won so much critical acclaim with year end awards
