I gave them one more chance to remedy and compensate for their shitty cheapo use of Surepost and SmartPost. This time I was very clear I'd like Prime extended. Again, only useless canned apology. Phooey, amazon ain't shit anymore.

I ordered something through Amazon on Saturday afternoon with Free Shipping (not Prime, just the Free Shipping option)

It shipped Sunday, and I received it Tuesday.

Usually it takes 4-5 business days, 2 business days is pretty lucky.

One package will now be two days late and another a day late if not received today. No proactive compensation for their incompetent faith in UPS SurePost and FedEx SmartPost. Not encouraging.

Was tracking a package being sent from California by FedEx that they're now saying they can't account for. Online system says "Package Not Trackable" and customer service has no clue.

So the 2-day shipping thing is increasingly becoming false advertising. I order shoes yesterday around 7PM. The estimated delivery date was Saturday.

Of course, as I guessed, Amazon went cheap with USPS to deliver package causing the day delay. I had this occur with a pasta maker I ordered last week.

Kinda annoying.

i order a ton from Amazon. like seriously, a lot
I am Prime
not sure i've EVER had a package be past 2 days. ever
and recently i've started picking the "no-rush" option and even then i usually get it before their estimate

maybe i'm just super lucky. even during the xmas rush everything i ordered came exactly on time , and yes ive had things delivered from non-UPS carriers as well .lot of times its USPS

lately a lot of my amazon stuff has been coming in 2 days using super saver shipping option

we got an offer for prime for $40 but we just cant justify it when more often than not we are fine waiting for regular shipping

We've had prime for about 5 years and it's maybe been a handful of times when something we ordered didn't show up when promised. We were watching a rented movie from Amazon the other night and it was buffering quite a bit. Next day my wife received an email from Amazon apologizing and refunding what we paid.

we talked about unions a lot between 99-00 at PHL1 (the facility that saved amazon's life), but it would've meant giving up our stock options, which we called the "golden handcuffs". at that time the stock price was worth so much most people just sucked up their mandatory overtime and having to be at work in the face of state of emergencies and whatnot. we were penalized for leaving during floods, blizzards, and other life-threatening events (we were temporarily punished for leaving early on 9/11 as well, or if we just wanted to listen to broadcasts of what was going on). it's not just the corporate culture, it was everywhere in that company.
