WSCR's signal is stronger, if that means anything.

I haven't heard of half of these places the callers call in from.

It's not that the Score's audience is more suburban than 1000's, it's just that there are many more people who listen to the Score, so it's likely that they will hail from all parts of Chicagoland and beyond.

Also, it's not the Score's fault your geography sucks.

Is former The Game host Pete Fiutek going to be on the Score every hour?

Are B&B pissed that Meatpants took his Fiutek thunder?

Can anyone name any great players that were picked by and developed under John Fox? Players drafted from 2002-10. Peppers was 2nd overall and an obvious choice.

To me, he's just East Coast Jeff Fisher.

Okay, cool. I'm going to continue saying hi, please, and thank you to people who do shit for me.

I picture Zion at McDonald's.

In daylight, I've picked up the Score crystal-clear as far north as Madison. I've picked them up (and WGN) weakly in Jefferson City. At night, it's a clear channel, so both come in virtually anywhere. I've struggled to pick up 1000 in DeKalb at night. It's very directional to the east.

EDIT: Here are the radio-locator maps:

But note on the second one that it's not counting distant coverage, which can be anywhere.

670 comes in as far as four hours south. I listen when I'm down visiting family.

It's not about it being difficult. It's about the scripted nature of the question. Do you care how I am for real? Not really. So just skip it. It's fake. Want to really know how I am? How about I just unload my problems on you when you ask, my life story, what is going well for me, the whole nine yards..... Do you really want to have that conversation? I sure as hell don't. Save your breath.

I care.

You'll note that unlike the Score, 1000 has to power down significantly to protect 1000s to the west.

The how are you doing thing is a reflex if that is the right word. When some people begin talking and are uncomfortable especially like calling a radio station it gets an automatic how ya doing.

as I have said many times, ESPN 1000 does not come in at all in DeKalb after 5 or 6 PM. It's not great in DeKalb either during the day which is why I'm a Score guy. I only recently discovered Tune In.

Terry won't argue with Hub on his Fox thoughts because he was right about Cutler being a ass wipe. Sound thinking, TB. That might be one of the dumbest ass things ever. Anyone with a brain knew Cutler was going to be a pain in the ass, except B&B.

Also, the caller of 'Hi, how are you?" gets Danny pissed off these days. Really just some annoying radio. 10 mins these days and I need to turn it off. Really depressing to do so, but at its heart, its fake, its fake information with fake disapproval.

You know, I'm with Dan on the "how are you?" thing. It's just an annoying-habitual-crutch-dialogue- starter. Do these callers really give a shit how they are? Nope. I don't care how they are. I'm just as pissed as Dan listening to these nit-wits start every call with "how are you?". Get to your fucking point already, caller.

I agree its annoying, but Dan's indignation about it only amplifies its insufferability. He acts as if it'll stop occurring it if he berates enough people, which won't happen.

I don't understand why it's annoying. Does the fact that politely saying hello takes away time that could be spent berating the caller or telling fake stories from various "guys" bother you?

dan is an expert at just yelling something as loud as he can as if that makes it true. "THEY GAVE EMERY COMPLETE CONTROL OF FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!!!" Really? They made him keep a coach he didn't want. Then they made the next guy run the old guy's defense. Why is dan kidding himself?

It's sad/frustrating because Dan has always been so good about telling listeners to question everyone, to always ask the follow-ups. Now Sweaty says Pace is in charge and Dan is like "well, that's good enough for me!" Is it really good enough for you? Because it's not good enough for me.

Hub set B&B to backpedaling away from their strong start to the show. They went in a complete fucking circle (jerk) and we got sucked in again I guess.

"The Bears want John Fox, he is their top priority!" yep, that's what I hear

So that means George and Ted and Ernie....

"Ryan Pace is in charge, he has full control!" what is so hard to understand

But what about....

"There are no buts!"

Hub: I don't like Fox...

"They will go through the full process" look, I, i, uh, yeah, uh, that sounds about right

How's it going guys, I...

"I'm fine, he's fine, don't ask us that. Next caller!"peenus

Did anyone question Bernstein's logic on this?

If Fox is their first-choice, they want to give him the job and anybody else they bring in cannot possibly be their first choice, why are they bothering to interview him?

Just offer him the job.

Terry said it was low class and bad business to cancel or otherwise not continuing interviews. Yep he actually said that.

Why don't they just say the Bears are "gathering intelligence" through dummy interviews like they did when Emery did it?

How are you, Zion?

Btw, even if its annoying, Dans nosedive into pmsing every time is 10x worse

Mac used come with a quick

"Above average Jake, whatdya wanna say about ______"

Just as quick and it moves the call along

If he really hates it he should read the fucking screen and come out with a question to the caller

The truth is he LIKES getting lathered up about it. It puts down another person so its another step in the life long quest to raise his clearly low self esteem

And may I say Chuck D too...would be appalled at Dans behavior

Gary Kubiak was their first choice.

it's not so much the "how ya doin" but the pause after it, followed by the awkward "good" answer that always ensues. i think that's why producers tell you not to ask that, because it just throws everything off from the getgo.

The problem isn't the caller being polite. It's the rude response of the hosts.
